"Hack job" refers to the Amazon-bought GT-R triple monitor frame that I cut to pieces and rebuilt with everything in its proper place. The 3x32" ws monitors did not fit on the original frame, so parts of the frame were used to extend the arms. Retrofitted bezel kits rock!!!
Even though I did get this to work, I'm very limited on adjustments, so I plan on getting a TR160 eventually
Added some ground effects to the riser/platform, which the frame is anchored to with lag bolts.
Frame looks nothing like the original. DD1, Clubsport V3 pedals, Formula V2 wheel. The front brackets bolted to the frame and base keeps everything perfectly stationary.
The Paradigm/Klipsch speakers are way overkill for this, but they were leftovers from my smaller home theater, and were just collecting dust.
Using a dash mount, mounted to the side of the dd1 to get my tablet in the right spot
I had an extra Sound Shaker (tactile transducer) from a theater seat I wasn't using. Really adds to the immersion
Liquid-cooled i7-9700k oc'd to 4.9ghz, ROG Strix Z390e, RTX 3070 XC3, 32GB...you know, a pretty beefy pc. I plan on enclosing it behind plexiglass and exhausting the heat outside. This used to be my hydroponics grow room, before I got tired of it, so I've had lots of experience keeping this room cool under extreme conditions LOL!
