D.I.Y Cockpit

So about a month ago I got my g27 and it didn't feel complete without a cockpit. Well over a year ago I was looking at Chilicokes cockpit and really wanted one, I finally decided to search for a plan and build one myself. Finally one was found. Wayside's one was most appropriate and least difficult due to the tools and facilities I had.

So first We went out to get the wood

3.5'' x 1.5''
and some other wood....

And we put the bottom base together :)

So I printed off the base picture and built it the other way round, because in the uk we have the gear-stick to the left.

Day 3 and we had built the base

So it took about 1 week to build.
I made some adjustments to the beams...

It still isnt fully done, i need to install the speakers and once that has been done i will keep you guys updated. :)

I tried using my G27 pedals in my sim chassis but it just didn't work for me. I don't think that I even made it a complete lap around Daytona before I tore apart the pedal base and reverse mounted them to the chassis. Best mod EVER!

The pedal assembly comes apart very easily and can be put back together if ever needed. There are no seals broken so no warranty should have been VOIDED.

I don't think it took me more than 10 to 15 minutes before I was back up and racing.

Thanks I might give it a try myself

You design seems complicated but it looks decent. It should bring you years of enjoyment!

I just build mine back in October and have been enjoying it every day since. There is no going back to just a controller once you have a sim chassis.
