My New Mountain Bike

I own a Rockhopper Disc, but I've never used it for its intended purpose - hardcore offroading. For the times I've been on it, though, it seems really good quality and robust, while being pretty light to carry around if you need to.

Got me a hard rock comp. with avid 160mm BB7's and a 130mm marozochi(sp?) fork. Also upgraded the cran to a better truvative

total cost is around a grand, considering I did all of the installs myself

btw, all of the parts were bought retail, I suggest you use ebay or something like it

Mine,but white and black forks:

So is Specialized's FSR system only availible in the mountain bikes? Anyone know how their road bikes are compared to the mountain bikes? Like, does buying a road bike over a mountain bike even justify itself? Lol.

My budget is £2000, I want disk brakes & EZ fire gears. Please Help!!!

Shouldn't you save the money to give to your uncle towards the £4000 you need to get the Subaru 22b? Or are you made of money.... at 15?

22B... Cosworth

I'm going to say this one last time.

Stop it.

Just stop.

It has been pointed out where the images of "your" cars came from. Until you can back up any claim about either car - especially as "you" had a Fiesta last month - stop posting about them.

Yeah, I was looking at Konas too. I saw them on TV once.

Which rear suspension system works better between the konas and the specializeds?

Maybe because this is yet another thread in which you've posted about them...

 I made sure I had saved it first, got the money at last!!! :D

22B on hold, where working on the Cosworth when he gets back

You ignored, or didn't see, the first 3 requests I made for you to stop talking about them until you could back it up - in each case continuing to post in the same thread. I figured with enough reminders you'd pick up on at least one of them sooner or later.

So, we now have a moratorium on discussion of these vehicles until your uncle gets back next week.

Are you going to buy a bike just for XC,Downhill,or you are interested in something like trials? I had bikes mostly for street use, hardtails, never owned a good full suspension bike,i almost bought Scott G-zero evolution concept(something like that),but it was 2 much for me!Konas are good, hardtails are light and i like the dirtbikes!

I all so own a Kona Scab I think it a 2002 with a Dirt Jumper 2 fork and avid mech discs, the rims are single tracks and the drive train is all xt.

THERE SOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!
Well it's my friends that, it's blue, and has air suspension. It's kinda old, but it works GREAT!

EDIT: I see your extreme.. Nothing says *extreme* like Marin county. Marin basically has the best mountain biking in NorCal. Don't belive me? My school's mountain biking team wins state almost every year, and my friend was in the top 10 in state :) Just some facts about my local biking comunity. O yeah were do you live?

I Have a Kawasaki, my cousin rode it down some stone steps pretty easily, it's also very light, it's a ten speed though, well at least the 24" is. Hope it helps.

I'm in need of a new bike, my old one just got messed up, it would be easier and cheaper to buy a new one, I'll looking at the websites you lot have linked 👍

ÄŁPĨЙΣ - You give England a bad name.

My buddy has a Kikapu but it's more of a cross county bike. They are nice bikes but I wouldn't go around jumping or doing big drops on it,it will break. If you want a tought kona try the dawg,it's more of a trail bike,it will handle jumps and small to medium drops but is still light enough to trail ride.Heres a link to a bike whole seller http://wheelworld.com/
