Very neat 👍

Are the seat and pedal mounts custom made or did you adapt an existing 'bought' cockpit?

I see you are a Ferrari fan. Red IS faster.:D

Very nice, neat work on the DFP too.

Nice looking setup. Love the Sparco Seat.

when Polyphony released GT5 I will pass to the G25

You might want to check out www.fanatec.com as they are releasing a wheel soon (July) that is far superior to the G25. Belt drive, 3 FFB motors, hardware lockable steering ratio (180, 360, or 900) regardless of game. Oh, and did I mention the Turbo S wheel works on PS3/PC/ and Xbox 360? Don't even get my started on the Clubsport pedals (preordered mine) with a FFB motor for the Brake pedal, and fully adjustable pedal height/angle.

I can see it being the perfect addition to your simpod setup.

;)

Fixed it for you. 💡

It also should be superior as it is more expensive, and quite tricky to get hold of judging by the other thread...

Ooops...

Thank you daan. Early mornings do not a good post make.

The Turbo wheel (pre-order price) is $299. That's right around the price of a new G25. At least close enough to warrant the buy. The stock pedals of the Turbo wheel are not quite as good as the G25 pedals (it's the gas pedal that kills it), however, if he is utilizing a sim-pod setup with a Sparco seat and custom painted DFP, I'm sure he can probably buy the wheel and Clubsport Pedals (or Clubsport pedals at a later date) which solves that problem.

I can't imagine anything else going into a frame of this caliber.

It's not that they're "quite tricky to get hold of". They haven't been released yet. They are going through the same pre-production hiccups as most all pre-production cycles go through. The customer service is phenomenal, so I have no question once they are released achieving a Porsche Turbo (S) wheel will be no more difficult than obtaining anything else online.

Babylon46 - What kind of Sparco seat is that?

;)

Exacly, the extra money is really worth for the ClubSport peddals..
G25 is 2 year + technology..
So I would really tell you to get the TURBO S
300 bucks for Turbo S or 250 for G25?
The extra 50 is worth the GOODNESS, especially when GT5P and G25 FFB is weak...
And save up for ClubSport pedals, if you buy them in Bundle you might save up some bucks too.

But yeah Only problem is the wait from FANATEC ;)
But you are a big boy, you can wait it up.

By the way I really LOVE the sim-rig you have. Really nice! Hmm if you get Porsche wheel, create a cool Shifter mount ;)

Thanks to everybody for your suggestions, I had already considered the Fanatec GT3 RS with Clubsport Pedals, but there is an italian company (http://www.f1driving.it/), which brings new changes to G25 FF. You can see the video comparation on this website on YouTube:

Delphic Reason : the seat is a Sparco Sprint V paid €150

P.S.: Is the shift of Fanatec separated from the steering wheel?

The two bars you can see, that hold the gear shift assembly are pushed into the wheel and slide.(I believe) So the shifter could be mounted off the the wheel, to a more suitable place that you prefer.

nice setup - I like the painted DFP and the Abarth logo - what did you use ? Center wheel cap ?

S. Chapman

Thank you Chapman, I don't painted DFP, it is a sticker in velvet with which I have 'dressed' the cockpit.:)

I will be hard mounting my Fanatec shifter. Easy enough to do, especially if you buy the Fanatec shifter adapter.

;)

No need for adapters ;) ZIP TIES would do haha.. but the adapter looks cooler.

It allows for simple custom HARD mounting, without any real fabrication. Just drilling holes. Probably a better option than Zip Ties, in my opinion.
