I'll start off with a mini disclaimer for the diehards and tryhards: Been playing the GT series since the 1st game, avid fan, average racer, average race knowledge ingame, below par real life racing knowledge.

I'll play GT6 the same as GT5 and enjoy it, many returning fans will do the same. Problem is the game has no lure for past players nor does it have any lure for new players. Based upon the current state of the gaming industry games need either(or both) great story or great multiplayer. Graphics and physics and blaw blaw is a given for this game but that is really all. I think PD have played GT6 safe, when they needed to come in swinging, clearning all other racing game(console) back to their respective dirty little corners.

What needs to be done?
Simply.. casual gaming for those who want to drive fast, crash and earn pointless cash. Medium gaming, This would be the games current career mode. Expert, where the diehards and tryhards live.

Now i'll go in depth with my version on what would change this game, but allow PD to be fancy and meticulous.

Casual gaming

This is multiplayer arcade, simple tiers, obvious cars and fast fun. I don't want the skill involved in driving removed from the game, but this is where the driver assistance should live. Damage to be bigger, and cars just plain fast.
This would create a quick fire place for new and old players to go and just unleash some madness. I do not think this would harm PD's image if the title and explain it correctly the players who choose to play casual races will know they are playing the crayola version of gran turismo.

Medium gaming

This would quite simply use the current set up, earn and learn to progress, but all to the understanding that this is just ground building, for the real deal "Expert gaming".
This part of the game already exists as the core of GT6 but I would narrow it down to 3 classes:
Tier 1 would cover the current set up for the novice class and national B.
Tier 2 would cover the current set-up for National A and IB classes.
Tier 3 would cover IA and S classes. Same races.

Expert Gaming

Events here will work as if they are you career choice, a place were you can be a champion under real competition.
As you play in both medium play, seasonals and special events you earn a global rank, this will be used for match making.

So say I want to be a GT500 racer, and that is all, I can select the GT500 series and will be places in races against people roughly in my tier... That I will have the race against to earn the real money of GT6.
Leader boards will be up where I can be seen placed globally and in my grade.

Obviously more than GT500 will be available, as you open licenses up in Medium play, you also open the races up in Expert play.

There will be penalties, correct resrictions, league bans, tire wear, minimal assists.

SO once again, we need players to have the ability to press X and enter a fun race off the bat, we need aplace were players can get a feel for the actual game and racing. then we need a real racing simulator with real oponents.
