That's American cars for ya

That's an e-z out there, mate.

I have the GTS concept '00 that I've been fooling with. Not a great tune yet, but I can finally win pretty easy at Indy.

It's a long, heavy way to fast to corner car and I think It has massive understeer/speed problems so this is what I did:

Bring the suspension settings back to default, slam the spoiler and the springs to the ground, and stiffen up the spring rate pretty tight, lower the anti roll bars accordingly. Obviously the hillier the track, the more clearance you need, but leave it as low as possible.

Then raise the rear about 5-10mm, tweak the camber to between 2 and 3 on front and rear. I just left the toe and dampers alone so far.

Finally, that car will go way faster than most, so slow the heck down for corners and use the full apex, It's not likely you can accellerate till you are almost straightened out.

Street Viper ACR is missing adjustable front downforce in the game. This kills turning ability at speed.

Slow down for turns way earlier than you think you need to. Tuned, this is a 1000HP street car with massive torque. Needs a long time to slow for those corners.

PD has gimped the Viper in this game - whether intentionally or unintentionally is up for speculation, but the fact remains that because they took out front downforce adjustability the car is at a serious disadvantage.

UPDATE:

downforce 40
height -25/-19
spring 14.7/17.9
damper ext 5/5
damper comp 4/4
RB 5/3
camber 2.3/2.0
toe .08/-.14

Again, this is for the Viper GTS R Concept '00 at Idianapolis, but hey, I think that similar principles apply for all vipers. With full mods I'm pushing 986 hp/1300 kg and finally got a few :48 laps, which is pretty good for a standard non-race car. Let me know if that helps.

That's a nice tune.

Ran it on Nuremburg Nord and got 1st in a two lap unrestricted (no race cars) contest.

Really the key with this thing is to brake early and often. Because of the obscene speed and because of no front downforce, you're going to brake in places where you can keep the throttle planted with other cars.
