Ok guys. I have a mkv GTI in real life with stage 3 turbo, full suspension. 350HP. needless to say, i love the GTI. so ive been trying to tune it on this game and its been kicking my ass. this is my first GT game. so im trying to grasp and learn quickly. I appreciate any feed back.

----FRONT/REAR
height -30/-25
springs 7.5/10.5
dampers (ext) 5/7
dampers (comp) 5/7
roll bars 2/6

camber 1.5/0
toe angle -.20 /-.10

LSD:

initial torque: 10
acceleration sensitivity: 15
braking sensitivity: 20

ending comments:
the cars weight distribution is 62% front / 38% rear
front mounted, front wheel drive

the car still understeers some, main exiting/accelerating out of a corner. ive done my best to reduce it. its fully modded in the game, with 370 HP and 1112 kg.

my real gti :P

I have a Black '09 four door..I'm jealous of your tuning...I'm too scared to fiddle with mine and void any warrenties.

mine is a 09 too. i was scared of the warranty thing too. but the fun outweighs the worries for me haha. did you try my tune on ur GTI in game?

I've got an '09 two door... united gray, stock except light-weight black OZ racing wheels.

but regarding your tune, don't you want toe out in the rear? or did you just miss putting in the (-) ?

this tune is awesome. mine was close, but your camber was much different and it made a HUGE difference on the 'ring.

95% flawless runs on your tune were about 15 seconds faster than with my tune. I didn't notice a bad understeer. I was easily able to exit corners full throttle. nice tune.

In real life I have a united grey '06 GTI and absolutely love it. I lowered it with coils to get rid of that awful wheel gap, a EuroSport full exhaust, and recently added painted bumpers. Not sure on HP gains from exhaust but It sounds awesome. Nice GTI as well. They're fun little pocket rockets.

Ive got a 2008 fsi candy white 2 door over here. A few simple mods but pretty much stock. I was able to make mine and tune it very close to my real one.

MkIV tune won't vary much. To prevent understeer your best bet is to tighten the rear sway bar. That still doesn't help? Play with spring rates until you are happy. And as far as adjusting toe, the more toe-in you have, the better your car will turn, but the lower you top speed will become, so keep that in mind for courses with less turns, like Sarthe.

Side note: I have worked on vw's all of my life, so this is my favorite to really play with in GT5.

To go along with everyone else, I used to have an 01 gti 1.8t. I never upgraded the stock turbo, but was still putting down 298whp after lots of engine rebuilding. Now I have a mk3 jetta that is getting ready for some serious engine work (I'm boycotting the vr6 by building a big turbo 8v 2.0).
