Mystery Track

In one of the lisence tests there is a section of track that I don't believe I've ever seen anywhere else. You go down hill and then the road curves right and goes up. At the top it turns left again. I think you're driving a Griffith or something. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

Ah, that devilish piece of road is not part of any actual track. It exists only in the license tests, like the hard left-right and the blind double-left turns found on other tests. So it's not a hidden track, but somehow, Polyphony had a lot of fans show up for a license test (note the grandstands)!

You can, however, make a one-lap race with that piece of road and a GameShark. Not worth the trouble, however.

There are plenty of license tests that don't exist in tracks. These two (IA-2 and IA-10, TVR Griffith and 98 GT-ONE race car) look like a copy of Eau Rouge, a famous corner at Spa-Franchorchamps in Belgium

That corner you do in the GT-One (and one other car, might have neeb a TVR) OWNS ALL! That sequence is tons better then the corkscrew.

Bummer :( . Oh well. Sure is fun tho.

OK, sorry, maybe not such a famous corner in North America, but to the Formula 1 followers, it's well known as a driver's corner.
This is the best picture I could find of it, probably breaking several copyright laws... ;)

You are not breaking a copyright law by posting an image to a forum. It's only illegal if you are making any money/profit from the use of the image or distributing a image that says "do not copy" on it.

But it's a great shot; is that a Caterham/Lotus 7, by the way?

Would it be the Complex String Course? because you can get it in Free Run and in the Arcade mode (once you beat it).

Is that car in the pic a Triumph? I raced on of those in AZ a couple years ago, green one with tan interior......dash looked exactly the same.

Complex String is only in GT3: A-Spec. Were still on GT2 here; at least I still am.

oh that track.... i want them to include tracks like that. man if only it had many turns and up hills and blind turns.....hehe

Eau Rouge, Belgium. The picture is from a Caterham meeting (I think). All I did was type "Eau Rouge" into Google, clicked on images and it was the third page along. The page was in German or Dutch or something (I couldn't read it). Hope this pic works, 'cause JPEG seems to have screwed up on my computer

The rain proves it's Spa-Francorchamps, alright!

and if *.jpeg gets all screwed up in Windows, chamge the extension to *.jpg (no "e") instead. And I hate what Microsoft has done with IE6...making all JPEGs *.jpe (who the fark uses jpe ????)
