I have this Supra pic and behind it has a house n other cheap stuff. How do I chop just the car out and paste it in a plain white backround, im using photoshop and dont see it. would it work in paint? Thanks for the help.

Use the eraser and take out the good chunks that aren't near the car. As you get closer to the car, use a smaller brush. Use a very small, soft edged eraser when your right around the car so you don't get any jagged effects. Finally, go in small steps, no sense in having a real nice, smooth section going only to get a little too close and wipe out a bit of what you wanted; undo is your friend.

If the color of the car doesn't blend in with the house at all you could try using the Extract Tool. Go into Image > Extract, checkbox "Smart Highlighting" and start going around the car. The Magnetic Magic Wand works similar to this as well.

This is really my first time posting in here and my Photoshop experience isn't very much, so I wouldn't say these are the best ways.

Use the 'waypoints' tool to make a really close and smooth outline of the car, make the selection and then paste the car into a new layer. Then fill the original background in white and merge the two layers together.

Alternatively, post the original picture in here, and one of out fine and friendly choppers may do it for you...if they're feeling charitable that is!

In fact, post it up and I'll do it as my way of welcoming you to GTP and all the many delights it holds. You'll have to wait a few hours though!

Hey thanks man, appreciate it. I also wanted to add a model to it so it might be a lot of work thats why I asked, but i'll post both just in case. My idea was to make a cool wallpaper with a Supra (wanted to be the one i own but no digital camera :guilty: ) and a nice model. Well thanks again for your help. Ill post both soon.

I'll do one, you can do the other. 'Give a man a fish' and all that...

EDIT: Better post it asap though mate, I'll be going to bed soon.

Hmmm..... i just use the magnetic lasso but then again i never do detailed stuff like that or i just use the stamp tool to stamp the background i like over what i dont.
