Nascar goes to Dega

Anybody gonna watch the Talladega race this weekend? I think dega is the 2nd best Nascar race event (1st: Daytona) I'm gonna try to watch every bit of it this time cause I never get to see races as much as I'd like to. I hope the DEI boys do good this year. Since they switched teams, Jr. hasn't done as well as he's done in the past.

I wanna see someone else besides DEI to win at the plate tracks, or Roush or Hendrick. Hendrick and Roushe have've won every race his season so far except when Harvick won Bristol. Harvick has a shot at winning at Talledega. He does well at the plate tracks, and finished runner up to Earnhardt Jr twice there already.

I want a Dodge victory. I want an EVERNHAM Dodge victory, but I'll take a Penske if I can get it.

In particular, Kasey Kahne deserves a win and Ryan Newman is overdue. But the reason I most want them to win is very simple; they're open wheel boys from the North who cut their teeth on Midwestern sprint car tracks.

Hendrick is the last team I want to win. I don't like Gordon or Johnson. It would be cool if an Evernham dodge won. Besides DEI, I would most likely want RCR to win it.

Hmm... what driver was it that I wanted to see win this weekend? . . . Oh yeah, it's in my username...

This weekend's race should be a good one. I'm afraid I can't go, cause I live in New Jersey, and that's a long drive, but maybe someday. . .
Anyway, I'm obviously rooting for Jeff Gordon, but I'd also like to see Dodge get a win, too. And like Layla's Keeper said, paticularly Khane. He does deserve it. He's shown his passion for the sport, and that's why I like him as a young driver.

My underdog pick for this weekend: Scott Riggs. He's proven himself at Daytona, now for 'Dega. I think he'll do well if he misses the wreck(s).

Nascar should have one race per year where they drive the actual showroom stock version of their race cars...that would be TV !!!

And there should be one NASCAR thread where fans of the series (or in my case, fans of a few drivers) don't have to deal with snide elitist comments from holier-than-though road racing fans.

How about this. NASCAR gets to keep their tube chassis and RWD conversions, and JGTC gets to keep their RWD conversions and tube chassis.

Well....Jeef Gordo won it. UGH. He pretty much dominated the friggin race. Mikey did good though. Tuff luck for Jr. who got in that last minute wreck.

I went to the race since I only live in Alabama. It was a blast to go there. I am a Jr. fan so I was a bit disappointed to see him not win it, or even see a non-DEI team win, but congrats to Gordon. Watching his car on the track, you could tell he had an awesome car. Almost too good it seemed. Was a good race

Well as a fan of the 24 car, i'd like to say WOOT! Man that was an amazing race, especially those last 5 laps!
