Hi @ all
I wondered how you managed Willow Springs and High Speed Ring Challenge with the Nascars? Is there a specific setup which helps me prevent drifting and loosing time especially in the S-Corner at High speed ring. I enter the S corner with 3 seconds behind the leader and leave the S corner with 5 seconds. So I have no chance to get in slipstream again at the straight. I tried it with Race Hard and Sport Soft tires because I found out that sometimes the sport soft are more usable for me.
My Setup is:
Suspension 70mm riding hight front and rear
Breake balance set at 7 in the front and 6 rear
Max Topspeed gear ratio set at 340km/h
627pp including oil change
Downforce 420 in the front and max. 700 rear.
I set the TC at 5 ABS 1 and ASC on
Sorry if my question was asked before. But I didnt found a search-function for my problem. If I type in nascar in the search function the results are all GT5.

Thanks for your help
Oliver

I left everything alone on the car setup, went with ABS 10 and TCS on 7 on the DS3 and won. It's only when I started messing with the factory settings that I slowed down.

This is my problem
First run is with TC set at 5 and ASC off
second run is with TC off and ASC on
I have no chance with these settings to finish the race without stupid spinning around. Im not able to press the x button this sensitive as it will needed to control the back of the car. :(
What am I doing wrong?

Hmmm.....the difference between your car and the AIs cars looks identical to the issue I was having running the race, namely only having the power at 70% as hadn't realised the ovals were the only ones with 70% limiter.....but I see from your first post that your pp is 627 which is 100% power. Very strange. I think I ran this event with TCS at 5 and ABS 1 andwon it first attempt once I had 100% power (using a DS3) using Racing Hard tyres. The only set up change I did was increase top speed slightly to 211mph (don't know kph) to give me a slight advantage. Beyond that, stay off the kerbs as I found it span if I touched the kerbs. I always use the X Button as the accelerator but I do find I have trouble regulating acceleration with it...have you considered remapping the buttons so that accelerate is the R2 or L2 button? It will allow you to be much smoother on the throttle....I have read on this forum that a lot of people find it much better to use that button (I can't get used to it myself)
