Suzuka Thunder Special 100 Feedback
I finally watched the Suzuka East race. There should have been a Caution for #18 early on. A heavily damaged car like that is a hazard. (I know he soon after disconnected.) #83 jumped the restart & beat #42 to the line. #83 should've been penalised. There should not have been a Caution for #14 (so good job in not calling one) unless the collision with #11 pushed #14 way off track, causing a spin or contact with a wall or caused a lot of damage making the car almost undriveable like #18 was earlier. @trobes29 was incorrect when saying on Lap 49 that pits would be open for lead lap cars that time. The Safety Car was supposed to come out on Lap 50, not Lap 49.

Great racing between @trobes29 & @NearCptNitro during the early portion of Segment 2. There should not have been a Caution for #48 for the wreckless re-enrty. The drive-through penalty was called for. I can't comment on the alleged "KSA drifting." I would also like no further discussion on the matter. It happened, during an exhibition, a DSQ penalty was issued, & that's what happened. No point in not moving on from it now. Finally, I ask everyone to refrain from cursing during NJS events. I heard multiple people swear in the videos. We need to respect the GTP OLR & keep our language E-rated.

Rulebook Update: I have added under penalties, section 20a. A request to not warm tires until after the 1 to go signal, under Caution.

This is the 1997 race. I never knew there was a 1996 race as well
Yeah, I already downloaded it to my PS3 a while ago. See also, 1998 at Motegi Speedway (which was actually built because of NASCAR.) & 1999 Winston West Series, (which was a points race.)

Peelster, do you put result of the race and point standing up yet.
Not yet, I'm finally having my days off from work. I will be working on it right after this post.

Hello guys. You may or may not know yet, but this Sunday I am participating in the GTPlanet WRS/3D3 2.4 Hours of Fuji. I have qualified very well for this race and will race in the primary room, with all of the fast cats (a few of which have been GTAcademy finalists).

I just want to inform you of this because I may not be able to drive the safety car Sunday evening after the race. Chances are that I'll be extremely tired and ready to sit back for the rest of the evening and snooze. Multi-class endurance racing takes a lot of energy out of you (me, anyway), especially in cars as difficult as prototypes.

Congratulations! I'm very happy for you. If you're not feeling absolutely exhausted, please try to make it, if you're extremely tired though, enjoy your rest. I did send you a PSN message, but I'll ask @trobes29 or @carl2448 instead. Hey, can one of you open the room at 4pm? Whoever does, I'll pm some special instructions.

hey @Peelster1 you have me listed as #24 on your under construction. and i dont see why any one would warm up their tires unless it is the last lap of caution...
That's one of the very many reasons it's under construction. I don't know why either, but in plenty of races I've done in the past, (Including the High Speed 200.) people have. I'm finally saying "stop it".

Rulebook Update: I have added to the qualifying rules and the Start Rules sections. No rule changes, just explanations of already existing rules that weren't already in there. EDIT: Final sentence of the qualifying rules section is a "new" rule that I meant to implement originally.

Apologies in the delay of the official results of the High Speed 200, it's been a busy weekend, I will try to get it before the Suzuka East race. Speaking of which, @carl2448 will be opening a club room at 4pm. I will be getting on at 5pm. If you haven't gotten enough practice for the race get on before 5pm, otherwise if you want to do well in qualifying, be there at 5pm.

yes at for in the club something... it will be called Happy Hour and is not an official practice, just a fun room for people who want and or need to practice

EMERGENCY: I will not be attending the race tomorrow. My fiance is in ICU. I'll keep everyone updated as I can.

Call it GTP NJS Practice, it's an official practice.

Annoucement: I have named @carl2448 a Race Steward.

Annoucement: I have adjusted the rules regarding post-race scoring. braunracing88 is no longer disqualified, but will have points deducted. braunracing88 is also on probation for 1 race for unsportsmanlike conduct.

I really hate saying this considering I've done it many times before but I'm gonna have to back out of this series. Too many personal matters to deal with.

But I wish you luck on the series, Peelster. 👍

Rulebook Update: @carl2448 has helped improve the Restart Procedure, this was done during Race #2, the NASCAR Thunder Special Suzuka race. The Restart section has been changed to reflect this. I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting some additional changes, if you can think of what I'm missing let me know.

High Speed 200 Official Results

Results for Race #2 at Suzuka East will likely have to wait until this weekend, as most official results posting will likely have to wait until the weekend before the next race. I will try my best to keep it on a weekly update schedule.

Motegi Tune or Non-Tune? I'm not creating a poll, (I changed my mind, poll up, please vote.) instead I would like a discussion about reasons why we should or shouldn't allow tuning at Motegi Speedway. The reason I allowed tuning at Suzuka was because even a stock setup was much faster than anything they had run their before, even considering how newer technology would've improved their lap times. There was no possible way to slow the cars down enough and still have accurate race speeds.

With tuning, we have the aspect of the setup and a racer's ability to tune their car being a factor in how the race goes. This series is a tuning series for the most part, I'm thinking about non-tune as our times are in the upper-middle of the real life qualifying times, with a stock setup using a 199 mph transmission, based on post-Suzuka East race testing at Motegi Speedway. In favor of non-tune are more accurate times and a balanced field. Where in favor of tuning is diversifying the race, and tuning is indeed a major part of NASCAR and motorsports in general. Cons of running non-tune is just that. Setups have been a thing in NASCAR ever since after it stopped being the Strictly Stock Series. Cons of allowing tuning is that we're obliterating professional NASCAR driver's lap times, as even with the same specs, GT6's NASCAR cars handle much better then their real life counterparts. Please discuss.

I feel like non-tune would be a better race, and more realistic to the lap times, but that might make some good tuners upset. Regardless I vote non-tune.
