Anyone else go to the race yesterday?

I know it's not a favorite sport of many people here, it's not my favorite either, but it's still fun to go.

It's not the same as watching cars turn left on TV either, it's nice to hear the exhaust, and smell the fuel again.

Its way better than TV. I went to the Michigan race 2 times and its so awesome hearin 43 engines roarin. and those jets too!!

I saw the IROC and the Busch race.

Yeah I like the jets, a B-52 bomber flew over, it was pretty loud and you could hear the turbo that powered it.

Troy Aikman and George Lopez did the "Gentleman, start your engines"

And I just heard about the numbers but me and my dad were 2 of the 211,000+ that showed up

Its definately photoshopped. A tire wouldn't make it that far up the stands. The tire would also be a bit sharper if it were real and there would also be a good deal of smoke down around the track. Think about it, if a tire were about to land in the stands, wouldn't you get the hell out of the way rather than act like you don't even see it, like they are in the picture?

The last I can recall that a tire flew into the stands was at Talledega a few years back. Now NASCAR has braided steel cable teathers for the hood and all four tires.

Also, notice how the cars are double file under caution in turn 4? There's no way in hell a tire would have been there at that time. Horrible photoshop job.

Plus the track is 'effin BRISTOL. Cars simply don't crash like that at Bristol. The speeds hover at around 140 down the front stretch and the average is usually under 100mph.

C'mon. Look at it. Packed stands all the way around. You can see both turns at one end from the seat, and it's concrete. It's fuggin BRISTOL.

Nor has any MBNA race ever been ran at Bristol.

Ya its defintly not bristol. It was in my mind but didn't know what track it was. That is a bad photoshop job after I noticed all the details.
