What do you guys think? Should PD put more into Nascar due to the amount of content that already exists in GT5. Or should they focus on adding more Formula cars and make a series out of it. I LOVE Formula 1 and dont care for Nascar but I repect the motorsport of stock car racing. But from what I see and think, I bet thats all were getting for these groups of racing which is what we already have in game

Err no. Codemasters have the F1 license. End of discussion, PD cannot do more.

Precisely. Short of reintroducing the GT3 pseudo F1 cars, they can't really diversify the current range, apart from adding updated ferrari's.

The Ferrari F1's in the game are the result of a separate agreement between PD and Ferrari. Like Furinkazen said, no chance.

Great. Now we start mixing wishlist threads with debate threads. That is a recipe for armageddon.

I think the OP meant different Formula Cars, like the FGT. That would be cool. Hopefully a premium FGT.

NASCAR I'm not too worried about. All NASCARs have REALLY similar specs, and formula, well that would be cool. But if you want a lot of formula and NASCAR, get either Codemasters or the NASCAR video games.

It would be nice if the changed the FGT to a premium considering PD made the car. Right? The ability to change the color would also be nice. I mean since we can't get anymore real F1 cars why not make new FGT cars. You could change the design, color, and aerodynamics of it as well. Right?

Only problem is Polyphony has arguably made the best NASCAR game in the last 8 or 9 years, and they did it with only a handful of cars and two series specific tracks. When EA had the rights they were more interested in making NASCAR Need for Speed than a true to life racing game.

Mr Cole, you have been here long enough to know F1 cannot be implemented and wishlists have there correct thread. DOH

Get F1 2011 if you love F1 a lot. And get NASCAR The Game:2011 if you like NASCAR. I don't think the average guy would get GT5 purely for F1 or NASCAR, so......

PD signed separate licence with Ferrari... couldn't do that with another F1 team (for example, McLaren)? I would resign with only old F1 cars and I would pay with pleasure to have a MP4/4 or MP4/14... mythical cars...

As has been said, it will be much harder to get more F1 cars in the game than NASCAR. I'd like to see PD add in some other NASCAR series like the Nationwide series and Truck series, as well as a short track such as Bristol.

If I'm not mistaken, Codemasters have the exclusive rights for the vast majority of modern F1 cars. On top of that. The use of any new F1 cars would be limited, as part of the deal made with Ferrari, is that no other cars may race their Formula 1 machines.

Feeder formula cars would be interesting -

You only need to make a few different car livery models that you can then "Colour in" yourself with a paint chip (Perhaps a progamming cheat could let you Paint the wheels - and this secondary colour would also be applied to certain areas of the main car - This would let the same car have a vast range of combos - well enough to fill a 16 car grid without dulpicates

What cars?

70
80
90
00 Nascar shapes... Sihouettes

Formula Renault/ Formula Ford/ Open wheel cars that are more beefy than a Kart but not as savage as the F1's or the FGT.

Maybe Older F1 - F2 even Formula Tasman or F5000 - Old Indycar?
The licensing would be near impossible but I quite like the cars, rather than the racing fag packets... testing was nice with no logos or livery decals slapped on the sides.

Won't happen though.

It would be great to see clasic F1 cars, but I guess that would not be possible because of licenses.

GT races would be even better.... :D

Why not put the older F1 cars from GT3 into GT5?

Also, I'd like to see the Daytona 500 event (200 laps) as a seasonal event.

And yes it would be nice to have some shorter NASCAR tracks (Bristol) and other road courses (Infineon) in the game. There were two Infineon configurations in Gt4 and ZERO in GT5? What? And, um... SEATTLE? Seems like someone important fell asleep.

Never mind NASCAR, what about Super GT? Horribly under-used in game, although there are several older cars. What about some more recent models? The Honda HSV, or Lexus LFA?What about a proper A/B spec event for them (like the Nascar tournament) instead of 3 races that dont even force you to use SuperGT. NASCAR has a special mission, and even a special seasonal event where you could win one of its drivers racing suit I belive.

NASCAR Nationwide series cars would be the best addition. As much as a healthy amount of posters don't like stock cars in real life, they all love them for online racing.

The Nationwide series cars actually look different for different manufacturers, and that could be another type of racing to run at a different PP range. I wonder what PP the Nationwide cars would have tho.

Nascar vs F1? hmm ...

Can't help it, but Nascar is mostly oval tracks and will eventually have crashes just like last weekend. One commentator even says that nascar drivers don't know how to turn right :sly:

If you want Nationwide use challenger TC, Personally I love NASCAR and have nothing against F1. Id like to see more F1 tracks and more F1 cars. With NASCAR id like to see more oval tracks as well. List of tracks
That one F1 track where it's at night
Richmond
Talledega
Bristol
Waltkins Glen
And re-paved Daytona. (can't think of anymore F1 tracks lol)
And with the more cars.... I want just a few more NASCAR's.

What if they added indy car racing instead of f1.. Then we could actually race the indionapollis 500.. That might have to wait untill gt6 though

I'm not a NASCAR fan but it does take skill. It involves teamwork and good strategy. In order to win drivers have to be careful and decisive. Its just they add drama to make "good" TV, thats the problem for me. Sure there are crashes but they don't do it on purpose because they may die, just look at Dale Ernhart. If you look at the history it has always been ovals. It in the blood. Crashes are inevitable and can happen in ANY sport. Just making my point. Please don't hate on me!!:)

How about neither? Both although interesting and no doubt take immense amounts of talent, are extremely over rated in their respective countries... I'd prefer more GT/LMP cars or just street cars.

Dude go look up the physics of F1. The amount of G's there are can crush your lungs and if you don't hold your breathe in corners than your ribs will crush your lungs. NASCAR takes teamwork and strategy to make it through those field without wrecking. Are you crazy!!! I love watching F1, ALMS/ILMC and I love them all, but saying that it takes little to no talent to race in F1 and/or NASCAR is like saying my poop is made of gold!!

Go re read my post.. Slower this time. I never said such a thing.

For those of you hating on NASCAR. There is NO "made up drama" about it. It is the real deal. It also takes talent and skill to drive these cars. Its not all about getting in and driving in circles like some believe. And it may be true that NASCAR drivers may not be quite as good at driving the road courses as the Indy car drivers, but they have come along ways considering NASCAR races are primarily raced on ovals. I have personally been in one of these cars before at 140/mph for 5 laps. I couldn't imagine it at close to 200/mph for 3-4 hours with 42 other cars. My hats off to these drivers as well as drivers of other types of cars. Anyone that says it takes no talent to race NASCAR cars is full of it and doesn't know a thing about it. Sorry for the rant, but I don't come on here and piss all over Indy car or other types of cars so please don't piss on NASCAR.

You forgot to add how heavy these Nascars are that do over 200mph on restrictors with old fashion V8's etc..

I love all forms of racing, just wanted to put that to rest.
