Is there a special tune for the transmission on nascar

It depends on whether you want a three or a four gear set up on the three gear you use the fourth gear as overdrive for Daytona and indy

I use a 3 speed, the advantage of a 3 gear, is when by yourself down the stretch you should be topping out solo in 3rd gear around 221-222MPH, Because your car is running faster and high in the RPMs your using more fuel. 3 speeds should usually be a sprint setup. Although I myself prefer a 3 speed. So much I have 6 speed roadcars that I turn into 5 speeds specifically for Nurburg. A slower 4 speed solo time saves tires and fuel. But the disadvantage is your slower, better for endurance racing. But you could throw a 3 speed and 4 speed on the same car as every car can have up to 3 tunes with just 1 click inbetween settings. Try both and see what you prefer better.
