Is it just me and a crappy tune or did NASCAR's get slower ? I used to get up to 221 - 223 mph on the long straight and carry 207 mph corners with no draft at Daytona on GT5, but now I'm only reaching approximately 206 or so on the long straight. My lap times are about 1.5 seconds slower too.

You should watch a NASCAR race and then come back. The NASCAR cars in GT5 were about as realistic as Batman.

Lol yeah, I'm just trying to determine wether or not I'm doing something wrong. Haven't seen any comparables or other peoples lap times yet. Only have a best lap of 44.8xx so far. Though not very much time went into it.

Actually the gen 6 cars have broken track speed records and average in speed race records and running 218 at certain tracks

And track speeds were reported to be 212-215mph at Indy this year, so I'd say test around Indy and see what you get alone, then run in a draft. If the speeds are relative to that even a couple miles off it's realistic. As for Daytona they ran 194 in quali, which is alone and in a pack were running no where near 220 but 209 or 210 is realistic.

I do agree though the GT5 draft was unrealistic and GT6 is probably more of where it should be, but it is known that the Gen 6 cars are faster than the last gen.
