national beer day!?!?!?!?!?

I would celebrate, but Thursday is one of my sober days (Tuesday is the other), I'll just have an extra one tomorrow to celebrate.

It's part of not wanting to become an alcoholic like everyone else in my family. Having set days during the week that I don't drink alcohol helps keep it under control.

If I wasn't confused before...

:P

I kid, of course. Good for you. I imagine it helps when you see what it does to other people.

I drink when I feel like drinking, but I make a point to consider if I actually want a drink. It may or may not mean I end up drinking less, but at least it isn't so reflexive.

As it happens, I haven't had a drink since Tuesday evening (it was a single beer with dinner) and I don't find myself wanting a drink right now, even if it is National Beer Day.

Why do I hear about these things after it’s National Beer Day?

We can make it International Beer Year.
You could give this website a go: https://www.thereisadayforthat.com/calendars/2022. I've noticed that every day seems to be a day for food in America, but you know you're grasping at straws when you have a national chocolate-covered cashews day (presumably to separate it from non-chocolate-covered cashew day :ill:).

EDIT: Just for you, I did find International IPA day is August 4th, and International Beer day is August 5th.

Just before my birth anniversary! That’ll do nicely.

I do prefer the much rarer American Pale Ale to the usual Indian variety, but I’ll take what I can get. It’s I nice excuse to forgo the larger that I usually drink.
