Navigating g-t.com remotely - Is it flaky for you?

I have recently gotten into the remote race thing mainly as a way to make easy (albeit slow) money while I am away from home. I also paired up with a buddy so I can place first, etc. However, I am having some issues actually conducting the race remotely ... it seems like the us.gran-turismo site is a little flaky at times.

I'm using Safari on my iPad or iPhone, with differing levels of success. Sometimes, I'll be able to pick a race, pick drivers, and actually start the race. But when the time table page comes up, it pops up with a message to the effect of "Unable to obtain race data from game server".

All this time, it works flawlessly on my computer in Safari. But that kind of negates the point of doing this remotely.

Any suggestions? I also tried the Google Chrome app but it seems that one doesn't even load the driver selection screen correctly.

And yes, PS3 is connected to the Internet and in Server Standby mode.
