NCIS: Los Angeles is an American TV series that combines military and police procedural drama genres, and premiered on CBS in 2009. It is a spin off of CBS' NCIS. The series follows the Los Angeles based Office of Special Projects (OSP), an elite division of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) that specializes in undercover assignments. The show is now on it's seventh season, which premiered on September 21st 2015.

G. Callen

G. Callen (Chris O'Donnell) is the Special Agent in Charge at OSP. He was placed in foster care at a young age and does not even know his first name. He is partnered with Sam Hanna. Callen has driven a number of different cars across the seven seasons including an Aston Martin Rapide, Jaguar XKR-S and a Mercedes S Class (His current car)

Sam Hanna

Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) is the Senior Field Agent in Charge at OSP. He is a former NAVY SEAL, expert on Middle Eastern culture, speakes fluent Arabic and provides invaluable insight to cases related to the USMC (United States Marines Corp) and US NAVY. Sam drives a Dodge Challenger SRT.

Kensi Blye

Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah) is the daugter of a marine, and the only female agent at OSP. Her father (A Marine sniper) died when Kensi was young. She is romantically involved with LAPD Detective Marty Deeks. She drives a Cadillac SRX.

Marty Deeks

Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) is an LAPD Detective, and the liaison between NCIS and the LAPD. He has not had the easiest childhood and deflects a great deal using humor. He is romantically involved with NCIS Agent Kensi Blye. He owns a Ford Mustang GT.

Henrietta "Hetty" Lange

Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) is a Supervisory Special Agent and the team's Operational Manager. As a veteran undercover operative, Hetty has achieved an unbelievable amount during her life. During her younger years, she took in several orphans (including Callen) from the streets in order to mold them into undercover operatives.

Owen Granger

Owen Granger (Miguel Ferrer) is the Assistant Director of NCIS. He is the team's link to Washington, and whilst he is often seen at loggerheads with his underlings, he no doubt has a great desire to keep them safe. Unlike other administrators, he is not afraid to accompany the team into the field. He is a long time friend and adversary of Hetty.

Eric Beale

Eric Beale (Barrett Foa) is the team's Technical Operator and resident geek. He is not an undercover operative like his teammates and as such is not firearms trained. Beale is incredibly comfortable in the OSP much to the chagrin of his teammates who often become annoyed by his quirks such as leaving his surf board by their cars. He is partnered and close friends with Nell.

Nell Jones

Nell Jones (Renée Felice Smith) is an Intelligence Analyst with dreams of becoming a Special Agent. She is just as comfortable outside the office as in it, and it appears that Hetty is grooming her as a replacement. Jones is a highly capable operative and extremely skilled firearms expert. She has the highest IQ of anybody at NCIS. She is partnered and close friends with Eric.

Nate Getz
latest

Nate Getz (Peter Cambor) is an Operational Psychologist originally attached to OSP in order to monitor the team's emotional well-being. Valued as both an agent and a doctor, Getz is later drafted to a deep cover operation and subsequently becomes a well-established field agent. Despite his career change, Getz still returns to Los Angeles when needed.

...This is the show that revived O'Donnell's career. Who da thunk it?

To be honest, I religiously followed original NCIS. And I enjoyed early seasons of LA too.

Nowadays, not so much. I want to start watching them again, but I'm so far behind it's not even funny anymore.

...Oh, hey thanks for the list. You can disregard up to season two, I stopped watching somewhere from there.

I think.

I used to be a fan of "NCIS", but then things stopped happening in episodes, with everyone just standing around and talking about what they had done off-camera. I never really bothered with "NCIS Los Angeles" and the team if Not Gibbs, Not Tony, Not Ziva and Not Abby.

I quite like the differents spin off. Sam, Deeks, Kenzi, Eric, Hetty and Nell are all characters I quite like. New Orléans is a bit lacking in the castings I think. I'm happy to have Scott back on screen as I was a fan of Code Quantum but the rest of the crew is a bit lacking. I dont mind them but I dont like any particulary.
Eric is very different from McGee really. He never go in mission and do mostly computer at the base while McGee is going in mission with the team. If anyone is like McGee it's more Nell. As she is doing computer stuff + going in mission as a noob (which was McGee role for a long time).

I used to follow NCIS LA (mainly because of the Challenger :D) for 2 seasons then i got left behind. The death of their member in the 1st season was sad though, i forgot his name lol

His name was Dominic Vail.
