no pitstop is not compulsory it is a 30 lap race. you can only use 1 set of soft at your discretion. otherwise hard or wet tyres. if I left it a totally dry race you could do 30 laps on hards with no pitstops required so weather should spice it up a bit. I will come down to who is on the right tyre at the right time
 
ok guys well what a race. you guys raced hard and clean well done. one thing we need to do is work on the rolling start!!! hard luck to 3 guys few, chance and stud. also egore as i did not have him on screen so no lap times for him, unless some one can put his times up for me that would be great.

notes round 5 monza. as stated previously, this race will have weather. rage and I have worked out it will be wet at the start and what happens after that is anyone's guess. cutting chicane will lead to a penalty unless avoiding contact. braking will need to be judged carefully with strong draft on the long straights. will not tolerate anyone using the weather as an excuse for hitting other cars. you have all had enough notice to try and to do some practice in the rain. good luck and see you all Sunday at 1pm est or 3pm nz
 
I noticed at the chicanes there is a section of green ripple strip on the outside of the red ripple strip , on entrys , and I think an exit or 2 aswell. When 2 wheels are on that green section the game gives no penalty. Whats the ruling on a "cut"
 
If your tyres are hitting the green astro turf you've got all 4 wheels over the line, so under the NCR rules will be classed as cutting. The game for some reason doesn't recognise it for some reason.
 
like Mr Vh said two wheels must inside white line which runs inside ripple strip unless avoiding contact or giving room. if Mr rage sees three breaches you are relegated to rear of results. will get Mr rage show you what he wants at tonight's practice
 
Easiest way to go about things is to look at the white line, where you look is generally where you end up, it's what you're taught in real life on race tracks with motorbikes so I assume it is the same for cars :D

Some cracking fast lap times there, interesting to see how a good slipstream helps with lap times.

thanks guys. Mr manix and his sneaky mum suprised us and came home late yesterday:). the poor buggers in a bad way but happy to be home. Ill be back on my old 40gig 40kg console soon lol.
 
On a lighter note mr chance what settings will weather be on. And howz that wheel treating you do you think its the answer to getting up with the top guys not that you wernt anyway
 
ok the wheel update. wheel is great operator of wheel is ****. the cockpit I made is great, but the dog don't like it cause it can't cuddle up to me on the lounge anymore while playing. plus the Mrs thinks it's great and won't stop using it. if only my old fella was a g27

Hope your boy recovers fast manoc. playing your ps3 will help im sure :) Any news from the weather man chance ? scattered showers with a chance of clearing ? or set in rain bring your umberella ?
 
bring a hovercraft and floaties lol. I don't know what weather will do there is know way to set a predictable outcome so all I can say is it will be wet at start and what happens after that is anyone's guess. just got to hope you luck the tyre strategy, and hence there in lies the fun
