Hey guys, I'm planning to grab a G27 real soon. It'll probably be pretty sweet with my 46"inch Samsung LED TV which is hooked up high on my wall and facing downwards at an angle. The problem is, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to have a comfortable set up. My living room doesn't seem to have anything that allows the G27 to get hooked up and set up. I'm thinking of getting a playseat later on when I renovate my basement and get another TV, but for now, I'm looking for something more basic. Something cheap, less space consuming, and easier to clean up. Does anyone know or own a set up like that?

Thanks

Just got my Wheel Stand Pro Deluxe/G27 setup yesterday. Amazing design. Very compact. Would have loved a full cockpit but my 50" plasma is a bit too high and I don't have the space in my man cave for something of that size.

Hmm I checked some of them out... They would have been great alternatives if it were not for their price. The playseats cost around 300-400 bucks right? Might as well just get one of those if these wheel stands will cost half a playseat.

Or you could build one yourself... There are lots of designs on this forum, have a look around.

That's always an option, but for the effort/time/money that it would cost, I'd rather purchase a playseat.

I'm still kinda of hesitant even though I got my mind pretty much set on getting a playseat. Is it cheaper if I buy the playseat together with a g27 as a bundle from their official site? It's around 650 USD/CAD... which doesn't sound very attractive. Amazon has been putting G27 on sale for 200-250ish, and that's probably around the same amount of money saved if I were to purchase the bundle from playseat.com.

One other thing, does the playseats come with the seat slider or the gear shift holder? I guess the seat slider isn't a "must buy" but the gear shift holder will definitely be, at least for me.

The cost of a home-made rig is about 100 dollars including seat and materials, if you make it from wood-and even cheaper if you can source a seat from a junkyard etc.
