Need a New Phone

Hi Guys ,I am currently on the hunt for a new Mobile Phone but I still have no idea what to get.I can only afford Phones in the 3000 Egyptian Pounds territory give or take which translates to 310 English Pounds (again give or take)I don't want a Blackberry ,I want a Phone with a Good camera ,preferably Touch screen,reliable and of course a Nice WiFi.

Some Phones I am looking at are the Xperia X10 ,iPhone 3G (the camera is an issue ,I may afford a 3GS but it is unlikely)and I had an offer for a N8 (whatever that is)

So Help will be much appreciated Guys ,Oh and no Used One please 👍

Get the iphone 3gs it is only $50 if you get a plan for it. I have one and I love it. You can do everything with them

The Problem is the 'S' doesn't Cost 50 bucks round here and I might not be able to afford one (although it is my most wanted one),.(Jail Braking is doable for me also )

If your looking at the Xperia X10, then it may be worth looking out for the new Xperia phones. X10 is about to be replaced by the Xperia Arc which looks gorgeous, and also the Xperia Play, which is similar to the X10 but with a slide out PlayStation controller for gaming. Both the new Xperia's run the latest Android OS 2.3 (gingerbread) while the X10 I believe after its update last year is only going as far as Android 2.1.

Wow the Xplay is stunning but sadly way out of budget .I looked at the N8 it is slightley better than then the X10 android capabilites and has a fantastic 12 MP camera

Well a Friend of Mine has an Uncle who Owns an Apple Store ,I really hope he gives me a good Price .It is the one I'd love most.

I have no clue what prices are like in Egypt in and out of contracts. I personally use an HTC EVO 4G, and greatly prefer it to any Apple product. On contract in the US, it is about comparable to the price of an iPhone4 on contract. But I just don't see much reason to get the iPhone 3Gs since it is a 480x320 screen, relatively poor camera, and so on when compared to the Xperia X10 or even the Nokia N8.

I'm sorry, but specifications aren't everything. Also, 3GS is fast enough.

I would recommend you to try out Android and iOS to see which one you prefer.

The N8 is a Nokia smart phone.

I don't have one but i really want one, its a nokia so it is easy to use.

I have a X10, and when I got it most of my 3GS owning friends were amazed by the screen clarity, extra resolution and camera. The X10 isn't the best phone in the world by any stretch, if you're not already in the Apple ecosystem, it's a better choice than the 3GS.

Yep that Camera is the main reason I am looking at the N8 .I have also recieved a special Offer on one.

Well the 3Gs is the most Expensive Option and the X10 is something I am really Interested in .Why can't I be like every body else here and get a Blackberry

If I was looking for a smart phone, I would stay away from Symbian OS, I find it a much more limited, out of date, OS than either iOS or Android.

What I actually recommend is the iOS not the iPhone, the only thing I've tried that is almost as smooth as iOS was android in the HTC EVO. it was a long time ago, now it surely is faster and better overall, but so is iOS.

But the apple app store and how good is the OS+Hardware Combo is what I love about apple.

So you should try to try an iPhone 3Gs and the X10 or other android phone youre interested too, and dont concentrate on specs only, evaluate how the OS works for You.

Don't get me wrong I love the iOS ,alot of my friends are Iphone fanatics (we play with them alot instead of paying attention at school)but The prices here are Incredibly high opposed to everywhere else.The X10 was surprisengly expensive as well but has a much better price than the 3GS .

Anybody know the main differences between 2.3 and 2.1 Android (if there are X10 users who upgraded)I really don't understand alot of stuff on the Internet about that.

Well Guys after carefull consideration and stretching the budget a little bit It was a close call between the 3Gs and the X10 but the latter's Camera and 2.3 Update sealed it for me.Now I am left of the dillema of choosing which Color ,White or Black
