So i gonna buy a tripod (not the one from the movie) for my 400D.

Can you recommand a brand or a specific model?

I don't have a fix budget but it should still be affordable.

Around 100- 250 € is ok

How are those flexibles one? Maybe one bigger tripod for serious shooting and a flexible one for on the road ??

That sort of price range is going to put you firmly in Manfrotto territory. They have an excellent system on their website which helps you to determine which models have the features you want and can bear the weight you're going to put on it. You'll also need to think about whether your subject is fixed or moving.

Remember that legs and heads are interchangeable, so you could end up with a Manfrotto head on Gitzo legs (as is the case with my monopod).

For reference, I have Manfrotto 190 Pro B legs with a Manfrotto 486RC2 3-way pan/tilt head. The monopod is a Gitzo 2541 with a Manfrotto 322RC1 head. This allows me to use the same quick-release plates on my lenses as they're interchangeable between the tripod and the monopod.

heck, I wish I had such money to spend on a tripod, heh

And yes Manfrotto is the way to go, specially because of their multiple interchangeable heads. They are amazing.

Thanks for the input. I first thought to buy one of those flexibles, wierd looking one but I always follow the principle : Buy cheap, buy twice.

And a tripod is something that last a long time so it should be good quality.
And i have my dslr for 3 years and have never bothered with tripods.
But i want to take Hdr pictures...
