Help! Have only ever used the controller for my racing games, but with GT5 and F1 2010 I really want to try using a wheel since it supposedly adds to the experience. What is the best wheel to get?

Logitech GT Driving Force i hear is the best .. i am going to get one and make the set up https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=105033 by ericleroi it looks pretty nifty .. Now i just need to think of something the Mrs thinks she needs but doesn't to justify it .. Humm new shoes , hair do , handbag (a small one not much weight can be added inside incase it backfires on me) ? Ermm it'll come to me lol.

  • The Fanatec GT3RS or the new Carrera wheel
  • The Logitech G25/27 or the DFGT if you don't need a clutch and H-patern shifter.

Other wheels are too expensive or not compatible with the PS3.

What price range are you looking for?

I would go for anything up to £80 as long as it was good. All i want is a set of pedals and a good quality wheel with either flap-changer gears or a gearstick. Iv heard Logitech's ones are good.

Keep saving your money too get a good wheel (G25 or G27, no experience with other makes of wheels); it will be worth it!

And then you can save/spend more money on a racing seat! :)

By the way, what's that wheel with the three pedals and gearstick pictured at the top of these forums next to the Japanese guy? Is that a Logitech one? It looks good.

Logitech G27.

I have a G25 for sale if you're interested! here's the link to my ad on the GTP trading post. It maybe slightly over your price range, but its really worth it :)

It is a brilliant wheel, as is the slightly cheaper Logitech DFGT, both of which I am quite familiar with. It really enhances the experience, I've gone back to a controller on one or two occasions, and wondered where all the involvement has gone...
