Need advice on conserving tires

I find no other problems that I'm having with GT4 except on how to make my tires last, and yes I know that the more grip the tires have, the faster they wear out, but does anyone have advice for how I should drive to make my tires last longer. My FF and 4WD cars understeers like crazy at 5 or 4 laps with sport medium tires

You just need to be smooth but, even then, your tyres will only last 1 (maybe 2) more lap(s).

Smoothness is key - and you'll probably find it makes you faster, too. I've made a few slightly-wrong tire choices in enduros, and in driving to maximize tire wear, I found myself going faster.

Brake early, don't over-steer (I mean don't steer too much), and squeeze the throttle instead of standing on it.

You sound like you drive like I do: as hard as you can most of the time, braking as late as possible (and HARD usually).

There's not much you can do, not without sacrificing lap times, that is. It is possible to drive softer, and get your tires to last a lap or 2 longer, but you'll be dealing with higher lap times. That's what it sounds like to me, anyways.

What race are you trying to finish that you need your tires to last longer than they do, by the way?

Slow down as much as you need before the turn. Gentle apply the gas near the apex of the turn with as little turn in as possible will probable give you an extra lap or 2. Also let off the gas on the longer high speed turns. Turning up TC will reduce tire wear but make the car less responsive so you would have to find a balance with that.

The one that has the LeMan cars in the championship but the lap times are set so that some faster ones pit on the last lap while others don't pit throught the entire race

I'm not sure which one you're talking about. You're going up against LeMans cars in a front-drive? :embarrassed:

I forgot to mention my RWD cars too, and they oversteer, and the championship takes place at the professional races, but I'll take care of that, I just drive my cars to the limit so badly that I shred tires to nothing, maybe that's why I'm good at drifting, but that's going to be a tough habit to break though
