Need Feedback on "Header" for website

Alright I spent along time on this and I want it perfect, please anyone give me some feedback, if you think it could be improved please tell me where or how. And if you like it I would feel good if you told me

my thought (seems to be the only one that's serious) is change the blue to a reddish-purplish color like in the "eagles nebula"

I think all of you need to shut the hell up. Troy is not trying to promote PG, he is simply asking for an opinion on the header. If Troy was promoting PG he would have made the thread like this, "Need Feedback on "Header" for PlatinumGamers.net"

i'm sorry, but if you're showing a design for a website on another website, that's advertising. even if he didn't mention the name of his forum, the "header" he's showing displays it.

if that's not advertising to you, fine, putting PG.net as an avatar won't be considered advertising either?

Now if it will make some of you feel better I apologize for whatever I did, which I personally think doesn't concern you one bit because all I did was directed at Josh and I came back said sorry and greeted him happybirthday the next day. So sorry to you all.

I'm not here to argue with you because I know you'll drop me. But any link directing outside of GTP would be consider advertising, correct me if I'm wrong but don't you advertise that link in you sig. Which is posted every post you make, so you've advertised much more than I have.

Advertising is when you either pay, or get paid for it. last time i checked, vB wasn't free? You had to pay to create these forums, right?

the link in my signature isn't advertising, since Amazon didn't ask me to put that in there, neither did they pay me, i found it myself and thought i'd share with everyone.

Would it make it any different if he just took the text out of the banner? Man Doug its not that big of a deal he asked for someones opinion he didn't say "oh by the way join PG" did he? NO.
