While browsing the interweb I came across this video. It looks legit to me and I'm already excited. No more rice for us! This is what the description says: "A video hosted on EA's website was found by a poster over at the EA forums. The post and video have since been removed from their site, but not before I managed to download a copy." Now, as you notice at the end of the video it displays "PSP", but I've yet to find a PSP game with as much detail as this. Just something about the PSP screen seems fake, judging by how old this video is already this game seems to be well underway in production. The scene with the rain looks sweet, I can't wait for this game to come out!

It looks like NFS HP3 (i think, not HP2; the err worse one with crappy graphics) with better graphics and more cars. IF this is legit; its gonna be one awesome game. :dopey:

Fake. It looks like some Lamborghini game if anything. There's no non-lambo cars, plus having the PSP logo at the end of it proves it all.

And besides, look on the video's release date. March 12th, 2006. Almost a year ago.

Not to mention if this is indeed real, the gaming community would be ablaze with it.

This isn't NFS11, case closed.

Yes the PSP logo looks fake at the end, but I thought NFS: Porsche Unleashed only had Porsche vehicles.

that would be great if nfs returned to its roots. ah the good old days with nfs high stakes and porsche unleashed, where there wasn't a japanese import in sight and no racing modification turned the body into a mess of fiberglass and useless holes.

The only ones I thought were good were NFS1SE, NFS3HP, NFSHP2..... all the rest especially the recient ones have been really bad..... very dissapointed with carbon..... I want NFSHP3!!!!!

I don't know if you have played the very first Need For Speed or not, but the original (IMO the best one) included Toyota Supra, Mazda RX-7, and Acura NSX.

I don't care about where the cars are originated, as long as they are worthwhile to drive, they are welcome in my book.

never have played the first one. I did mean all japanese imports in the last statement i made but the supra, rx-7, and nsx are worthwile to drive. ill have to find nfs1 on ebay or something and get myself a copy ( I still love to play gt1 games :D )

Maybe EA wanted to pick up where Titus left off with the Lamborghini series of racing games?

It's a great game, but do yourself a favor and get the PSX version if you have Windows XP. The PC version and XP don't exactly get along very well...

It seems to run okish on mine..... If you run it in compatability mode and its also a good idea to run it in a window..... I still to date havent completed it and unlocked the 1 extra track...... I used to be amazed at the graphical detail of that game

ahhhh where were the days of N4S II and the Lamborghini Cala. lol

although i prefer the underground series, carbon, and Most wanted to the other NFS, i would love to see a remake of NFS II.

the Italdesign Nazca C2, the Isadera Commendatore, and the Ford Indigo....those cars were awesome on NFS II. Looking back on it though, the graphics, although good for its time, lol they look horrific now. the cars were boxes :dopey:

so yeah a remake of an old NFS would be quite good :)

Appears to be a gameplay video of the long cancelled "Lamborghini"
http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/driving/lamborghini/index.html

Hmm It looks like you've cleared it up, seems like the same game. Although after reading the article about Rage software closing and selling off its current projects to other companies, do you think EA has since bought the game is still currently working on it? The video could be a hint towards that.

That video does beg the question however...

What games have a Lamborghini Miura (P400) in them... and of those, which versions of the P400 do they have? It's one of my favorite cars of all-time, and I'd love to have a decent game that features it!

I highly, highly, highly doubt anything is ever going to come of Lamborghini. It was cancelled in what, 2002, 2003 at the latest? That's at the early part of last gen, everything already made for it would have to be redone, to meet current gen specifications.

Test Drive Unlimited has the Miura. That's the only game I can think of off the top of my head.

That would explain the very low grade graphics shown in the pictures.

NFS-Planet
There are some new rumours about the next Need for Speed, the eleventh part of the Need for Speed series. It should have the name NFS: Pro Street and will contain a complete new graphics engine to fit the standards of todays systems, instead of a modernized old engine. Furthermore, the it will get rid of the superfluous film of arcade and the Autosculpt-System of Need for Speed Carbon will be finalized and improved.

The new Need for Speed (NFS Pro Street) is expected the be announced at the E3 2007 (Electronic Entertainment Expo), which takes play in May this year in Los Angeles.

When they say pro street, they better mean pro street drag cars and not 'professional' street racing.

:) everyone who loves cars should try the original nfs LOL

EA at that time actually teamed up with Road and Track to recreat accurate representations of the cars, including performance. It was considered a simulation back then...

NFS-Planet
We recently reported about the rumours on several russian websites, that the next Need for Speed will carry the name Pro Street. Now Electronic Arts denied these rumours - the title of the next NFS is still a secret.
For hard facts we may have to wait until the official announcement, which might take place at the E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) in May in Los Angeles, or at the Games Convention in Germany.

We will see...

Well, so much for 'pro street'.

Man, I loved that game. Wouldn't mind picking it up again if I could find it somewhere.

That was when I got into NFS, was the first game. In my opinion (and I know it's shared by quite a few of us), the last "true" NFS game was Hot Pursuit 2, the first NFS on the PS2. After that, they went to Underground. Or should I say, "downhill". The series has sucked ever since.

I disagree. I say the last true game in the series was Porsche Unleashed. While the series didn't go downhill until after Hot Pursuit 2, it changed its focus and played far differently from the earlier titles.

Well, to be honest, I found Most Wanted to be pretty good. They (somewhat) returned to HP2 with the exotics and the killer cop system...

But Carbon is pure trash.
