Need For Speed Underground 2

or

Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition

i want to buy a new racing game

they both look very similar

from what i can tell, NFSU2 offers more customization but less cars
and MC3: DE looks like more cars but less customization

which one should i buy?

you decide!

also, please tell your reasoning as to why you choose one game over the other with specifics if you can

MIdnight club 3:it's faster, has alot more cars(better list overall)and to me it edges out nfsu2 on customisation.Nfasu2 has NO racing stripes whatsoever and you can craete things like a number plate. It totally gives underground a kicking when it comes to gameplay, though it can be a bit frustrating.

One thing, both games sucks really good.
But if I needed to choose I would defenitly chose NFS:U2.

reasons why? specifics why?
It's really hard to say why when both games sucks.
Actually, I wouldn't buy any of them. I would wait for other good racing game.

I would definately recommend MC3 over NFSU2. I've owned both, and traded in NFSU2 towards MC3. NFSU2 gave me a headache every single time I played for longer than 10 minutes. MC3 is a cleaner and more enjoyable game.

MC was the originator of the free roam city racer game, NFSU2 just copied that aspect over, quite badly I might add. In NFSU2 you spend way more time driving around the city to put modifications on your car than you do actually racing. In MC3 all the modifications are handled in your garage, saving you the trouble of finding the body shop if you want to look at spoilers and then having to go way the hell across town to go to the performance shop to do a tune up.

I agree with what GTRacer4 said as well.

Get Midnight Club 3.

edit:
How can you say one game is better if you've never played it?

If you haven't played both games you cannot say that one is better than the other (yes, that was directed at you, sicbeing).

because ive heard nothing but good things about mc3, ive read anough players reviews on it as well as magazine websites etc.

I do own NFSU 1-2 tho, NFSU1 was great, nfsu2 was horrid. it wasnt a racing game, it was (and ive said this before) just another "pimp my ride" addition

EDIT-

the reason i always call mfsu2 pimp my ride is cuz the game isnt based around winning races, its about impressing others, especially sponsers and magazines, most of the time your good rewards are visuals and not under-the-hood goodies.

I hated the "impress" value (whatever those stars are that multiply your style points) because it made u make your car look retarded, more than half those body kits you would prolly never see in real life

Enthusia...heh heh.

Honestly, neither one is my type of game.

Midnight Club 3 is an amazingly intense, fun game. The cars and customization are pretty good, (especially the choose-your-own-color paint jobs) but the best thing about the game is the craziness of the racing. It's over-the-top and arcadey (think massive 200mph jumps), but the drifting and control overall is surprisingly intuitive, kinda like Outrun 2.

Well I'd like to say NFSU2 is a hella lot better than MC3 online on the PS2 version.

Midnight Club 3 is muuuuuch better than NFSU2. I agree with whoever said that you spend more time driving around finding the tuning shops than actually racing in NFSU2.

If I were you I'd get MC3. Much faster, cooler cars (not just imports but exotics, lowriders, luxury cars), better modification setup, HUGE jumps and the fact that you don't have to modify your car to get more points in the game. I hated that, all my cars looked rice just to get me more money.
But in MC3 all my cars look seriously nice (sacked down '64 Impala, clean black IS300, full on drag-spec '57 Bel Air, a Ducati) . And you can change your numberplates al well.

MC3 👍 x 10

hows the comparision of customization of cars from NFSU2 to MC3? [or vice versa] (include performance mods and cosmetics)

Integra Type R

I actually like the driving around finding tuning shops..driving to different races..I give a solid two thumbs up for NFSU2 just because I believe they did what they set out to do 👍 👍
