Need help ASAP broke my computer screen

So i were playing then i took my mouse and hit it into the screen and now i see rainbow colored strippes and a crack at the top its write and i can only see it when my pc is on i need answears Asap my parents is gonna kill me, idk if its fixable.

Just please have a look ;(. I didn't do it on purpose

I think you mean a desktop screen, right? I'd say, with my very limited knowledge though, that'd you'd have to get a new one.

Since it is a normal desktop monitor means you can either get the monitors LCD panel replaced or get a new monitor.

I replace laptop LCD panels now and then.

You basically have to buy a new panel. But given the price of replacement panels, you might as well buy a used monitor of the same size. Especially if you don't have someone who will replace the panel for you for free.

LCD panels are easier on a laptop since they are smaller and easier to get to.

LCD panel on a desktop monitor, would involve removing screws and getting into the panel.

But what kind of panel is it?

Cold Cathode LCD or LED LCD.

Considering Moro just registered today and all of his posts are in this thread, I'm more curious as to if you've just broken your monitor why GTPlanet is your first stop.

Well my Friend recommended this site he told me that this is a good place to get and help

Was your friend the guy who needed help after cleaning his monitor with a scourer pad or something along that line.
Anyway by the looks of it the cheapest and easiest way is probably just to get a second hand monitor.

Accidents happen, If your parents won't buy you a replacement then look on Craigslist for a CRT monitor, people are literally giving those things away, it will keep you going until you can purchase one yourself.

4) Go get after school job for money to buy new monitor.

Here in norway i can job for the newspaper ill earn 200nok in an hour

If you make 200 NOK (sounds a bit much, but that might just be me) an hour you should need about 5 hours to get a new screen. From what I've seen they're starting at around 1000 NOK, though I can't really tell if a second hand monitor might be better, due to my limited knowledge. Just thought I'd share the above information. 👍

That doesn't sound like an accident to me. Sounds like you got mad at something that happened while using the pc and you hit the screen with the mouse.

That, or he we using the mouse for something that it wasn't designed to do such as using it as a flail which seems more likely. Either way it had to be the result of irresponsible action, I've never heard of someone using a mouse for what it is designed to do having a near miss with a monitor.

Don't forget one thing:
-) Getting a job is a really good thing. You can earn some money which is very nice and it is your own money. You learn how to handle the working life, which is very good for the future
-) BUT I guess you also go to school. And school is more important. If a job just does not fit your time, e.g. if you go to work instead of learning for a test, that is not good.
I know an example, a guy in my class works ofter during the week in a concert and event location at night. As a result he has very bad marks and he is often very tired.

Don't take this as "Don't get a job, it is bad"
Just find the right balance 👍

When you say its a 'big machine' do you mean you have an 'all in one' system where the computer is inside the monitor?

If its just a normal desktop screen the cost of the panel might be higher than the whole thing. It would be better to get a new monitor which will probably he better and cheaper.

However if it is an 'all in one' it is probably worth paying to get a replacement screen.
