Need Help Tuning My EK for Drag Because I Suck

Idk what I'm doin wrong....I read a handful of GT Forums and tried to apply what I found to my tune but it was just a fail / I'm still spinning tires / losing....I just need to kno how to set up my gears and what gear to launch in

My setup

Top Speed - 130mp

1st - 3.800
2nd - 2.817
3rd - 2.188
4th - 1.773
5th - 1.499
6th - 1.320

Final Gear - 4.018
Top Speed - 112


Car Weight - 1078
Ball Amount - 190 / Ball position -50

If anyone see something wrong with my tune please let me kno
 
I think everyone is spinning to some degree, you just can't see the others cars tire smoke when racing online.
 
Idk but whatever they do....I need to learn it / I few people from teams just explode on me, they start of real slow and just explode I just say "wth"
 
Listen, there is always going to be someone better than you. the sooner you realsize that, the better off you'll be.

Anyway, spinning tires in a RWD is unavoidable. Launch is the key. Try to get all your gears to stay in the powerband. When you do this, you car should be able to win MOST others. Suspension is also key.
 
Now we're gettin somewhere........what's a powerband?

The power band determines how much torque and power you get depending on how many rpm you're getting. Usually you wanna be in the area of the powerband where you can get the best amount of power down when you need it. You'll see it in the settings, first thing, that chart on the right side under your stats.
 
Just realized your problem.... 200kg of ballast?!?

Also, what is your suspension setup?
 
I drag at indy / I start from that area with the long yellow slippery strip to the first shadow by that GT5 banner

Suspension

Ride height. - -20/-45
Spring rate - 10.6 / 15.0
Damper "extension" - 6/10
Damper "compression" 5/10
Anti-roll-bars - 6/7

Wheel alignment

Camber angle - 0.0 / 0.0
Toe angle - -1.00/.10

Toe angle - -1.00/.10 Is that -1.00 toe? You want to be in the positive area bud. Also, no rear toe on a FWD

I really appreciate the tips/ help guys but if I send someone one of my FF hondas.....can yall give me a sample of a drag tune for me to experiment with to give me a idea of what I have to do to make a good drag tune.....cuz I been playin GT5 for alil ova 8 months and I'm not tryna spend another 8 months tryna figure out how to be fast.....it just blows my mind how I race someone...beat them and 2 weeks later their beating me and on top of that their twice as fast...but like I said I don't want a full tune...I just need a sample
 
No one is going to give up a drag tune that they worked real hard on. Ever. Sometimes even paying them work get them to give it up.
 
I don't want a full drag tune or nobodys tune....I just a sample of one to see how to set one up...its multiple teams online and they recruit ppl that's pretty fast and give them a faster tune...I even heard someone say online "we find the best tunes for the cars and then give them to the whole time".....
 
When I get my tunes on point....imma teach ppl how to drag tune becuz sometimes I am the fastest in the room and I just feel bad cuz they can't have fun......"I use to be that person".......then someone gave me a small tune on my ek Rm but I end up changing it cuz I thought it was a bs tune so I messed with it and now I see the same dude and he's faster but I don't wanna ask him for the tune again
 
Yea I figured but he offered to tune it if I bought them a Ek but I didn't lose out cuz I still found some new stuff out like 112 top speed / and somewhat drag suspension
 
What u kno about shifting in 2nd at 10mph? A lot of ppl do that / it doesn't work for me...I like to launch in 2nd to get a nice roll with out burning out then shift down to 1st the shift to 2nd real fast

It depends on how many gears you use, to me, it seams that you dont have a clue how to drag tune cars, and im not going to explain either. Search previous threads, all information you need is there.

Second, lazy grammar will get you kicked from gtp. And honestly, if you dont even take the time to write well, how on earth are you going to take time on tuning cars....lazy

If you not going to explain to me how to tune my ek then you and your post are useless and shouldnt be on my thread

Well, if you read what i wrote you can see that i wrote "search in previous threads" theres all information you need. I know for sure because i have myself written these tips, and other people have done that as well.
 
I've searched GT forums before I was even a member and the stuff I already kno I came across / since your a good tuner what's wrong with my ek drag tune above?
 
Just link him up to some…any I don't remember you writing any tips for FF drag cars though, TT3AZ……

when you launch I'm guessing that you just go full throttle right away you should try launching just at half throttle for the first gear and then full throttle for the rest of the gears. this will minimize wheel spin if this doesn't work just experiment with throttle control.
 
Ohboy imma check that link out / stele yea i do "full throttle" and I tried half throttle" but like u said I gotta go back to the lab and experiment

Really? I'm sorry, but I've never seen (no offense) a fast guy using half throttle. If really a fast guy is using it, let me know.

Well here's some clues:
1. First gear long, rest very short
2. Suspension needs to be biased to the front end.
3. Don't run ballast unless you have a mega horsepower car that needs it.

Simple?? Good because I'm not breaking it down further for you.

Now as for the comments at TT3:

To call TT3 useless is like saying the pope isn't catholic, absolute garbage!! As for you with the "lazy grammAr" comment, you just proved to the rest of the forum that you didn't read the Acceptable Use Policy when you joined the forum did you?? Especially the bit here:

So don't bother pleading ignorance, it's not our fault you aren't abiding by the rules of THIS website. You fail to realise that this site has higher standards than the forums you frequent so raise your game, not expect the website to dumb down it's standards to satisfy you. :cool:
