need help with creating forum

I have unlimited bandwith, unlimited space, php support,. all the goods necessary for making this thing. But one problem, i dont know how. Anybody think they can ghelp? Ezboard isnt cutting it.

Are you wanting to code a forum from scratch? Because, I can tell you, it's a lot of work. Have a look at phpBB and InvisionFree.

I can help you set it up, as long as you have the right hosting package. MySQL and PHP support is a MUST for a forum.

HostUltra, doesn't support MySQL. I think it supports PHP though....

I have already uploaded the phpbb zip file to a php folder especially for this.


As for the mysql thing, what exactly does that do?

MySQL is a database system. Basically it allows the storage of all your threads, posts etc so that the forums software can retrieve them as required. You will need to have access to a MySQL database to get the forum working.
