need help with GT40 race car (old one)

hi, im an avid GT nut I have played GT 1-4 and it seemed that on GT 3 the GT40 Race Car Handled pretty well, but on 4 it handles like crap, can anyone give me good suspension and LSD and other tidbits so i can drive it. it easily spins out. i just like driving it . (the orange and blue) I have the north american version of GT4.

Firstly, go to the ford tuning garage and find what type of tires youre on. I think the GT40 came with Racing hards. Which arent good for grip.

Secondly, use the search button for a quick answer, or check out the local tuning garages in this very forum. One of them may be able to supply a good set-up.

yes thanks cuz i wanna build up my stock gt40 race car to run the 24 hour LeMans races, but i dont a-spec it, i just use b-spec bob on pace 5 push. but he handles the car poorly so im just trying to test suspension setups and LSD tweaking so he can do the nurb 24 hour race...

I doubt you have any hope of winning if you're going to give that car to Botcher and ask him to bring it home. First the car is far too slow to seriously challenge the LMP's and Group C's, second B-Spec outright sucks in driving it. No matter what you do to the car he won't be bagging the race for you, not in that car. It's down on power, acceleration, top speed, grip, everything. The combination of R1 tyres, full power and the highest speed setting is so disastrous that it's hard to believe. It'll be in the sand traps around five times a lap.

In other words: Not going to happen. Get a faster car. This one is half a minute down per lap.

Or you should do the el captian race today, get the 88vc minolta and use that.

The Escudo could work. Even with stock suspension its great. Just mod everything on it to the max and hand it over to b-spec, it'll dominate.

Thats the problem with the Escudo, it has great acceleration and good top speed, but has pretty poor handling.

Just get the MINOLTA Toyota 88C-V Race Car '89 from the El Captain endurance, and you are a sure bet of winning.

Just get a 787B and apply some good settings. You may want a turbo for LeMans.

The Mazda 787B will also work. Pretty much any good racing car would work.
