need help with Lancer Evo VII GSR

Hey, I am running a Lancer Evo VII GSR at the mo for a few races and am looking for a really good set up. At the mo I have only 415~ bhp on it, which is all I need for the moment, but it's understeering like a dog. If anyone has a good set up for it, I would greatly appreciate it if you let me know. Thanks a lot.

I'm afraid that 4WD's in GT3 will always understeer to an extent ... all you can do is work to ameliorate the effects as best you can and amend how you drive accordingly.

What parts do you have fitted to her at the moment? That'll let us know what we have to play with in the 'adjustables' department.

Thanks for the reply sukerkin. At the moment I have fully adjustable suspension, full adjust gearbox, VCD, AYC, + upgraded brakes etc. and miscelaneous engine/turbo upgrades but no brake balance controller. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi, phrost, and welcome to GTPlanet!

Let me make some general suggestions for you, because I don't have my Evo settings to hand.

Increase your front camber to about 3.0, and set the rear to about 0.5. Set the front toe to about 0.5 toe in, and the rear to about 1.0 toe out.

Avoid the tempatation to cut the front torque bias to a very low level. Make sure you have ASM set to zero on all cars. Since the AYC is for yaw control stability, you may want to remove it since the car is too stable.

Also, set the spring rate a little higher at the rear, but leave it lower in the front. Reduce your front damper rebound and increase your rear damper bound.

If it plows on turn in, invest in the brake balance controller, and give it som rear brake bias.

My EVO VII just cut a 1'18.998 on Apricot Hill with at least 2 wheels on the track at all times and no wall touches on T8 tires. This setup also puts me in 1st in the PRO dream car championship at Cote D'Azur on T3 tires just so you have an idea. PM me if you want the details on my setup.

BTW, this is with a semi-race suspension.
