Need help with mounting seat to DIY cockpit

hey guys, i'm done with the frame of my racing cockpit and my only problem is mounting a car seat which i bought from the wreckers on a piece of MDF board

as you guys know, most of the seat rails' mounting points are angled and i've been trying to look for ways to mount it on a flat piece of MDF board but i can't seem to think of any way to do it so i thought why not ask you guys for some help?

there's the picture of the "angled" mounts which is giving me quite a hard time to mount it onto a flat surface

maybe some of you guys who DIY-ed your own cockpit with car seats can sort of show me some pictures of how you mounted it to yours?

thanks guys! :)

Here is what i did. I used a long strip of MDF under the higher mounting points of the seat. For my seat it just happen to be the right thickness but you have to use a thicker or thinner piece depending on your seat. I will see if i can add a couple of pictures for you...

I took mine off the runners, the mounting points on the seat were perfectly flat and evenly spaced which made it much easier, but obviously I can't adjust the seat any more. Not really a problem once you get the distance right, of course. I did have to mount it on two separate piece of timber, though, because of the bit in the middle that dips down past the mounting holes.

Not sure if that's a universal thing or just the MX-5 seat I've got, but who knows?

Maybe cut a couple of angled stripts of MDF, glue them to your flat board once you've aligned everything right. Once glued, drill holes and mount it with regular bolts. This way you won't lose the sliders.

i'm trying to leave the seat rails there as i would really love to have the back and front adjustment for the seat

thanks a lot for your suggestion guys, will try cutting an angle onto a piece of timber and nail it onto the flat MDF board base and then mount my seat on it

I built a "Simul8er" style cockpit, and I just bent the metal of the attachments so they were flat, and then I screwed then into some boards, and then into the pvc pipe, (from the bottom up through the top.)

Hard to explain, but anyway, how did you come out?
