can anobody tell me a drift setup for the hks silvia??...ive tryed like a 100 different things but they all dont seem to work...

Add a few degrees of positive 'Trial', add a few degrees of negative 'Error' and add lots of degrees of 'practice'. Thats the best setup IMO :D.

if its anything like the other drift cars, you should be able to turn of ASC and TCS right away and do some drifting with it, then tweak it to your liking. like its been brought up already, different strokes for different folks.

someone elses settings might not necessarily work for you but heres what i always start as as a baseline
set the car about 10mm above the lowest it can go, I just found out through trial and error that i like the suspension to be softer on a drift car, so i dont even bother with the race suspension, Original or Sports is good for me. stabilizers set to 1, -3 camber front -1 rear. other than that theres probably hundreds (maybe thousands) of different posts between this board and the gt3 board regarding setting up a car and what each adjustment does. good luck! :sly:

 sounds like a good set up to me..... how bout this leoan.... y dont you give us a basic idea of how YOU are setting up your car... i think that way would best help everyone to help you further tune your car

just buy a new sputnik valve and you'll be ready to go

no seriously this is a little comical. Just as 194GVan said, someone else's settings may not work well for you - at least not as well as some of your own settings would. Everyone has a different style, and therefore, everyone demands something a little different from their cars. This is something I've echoed many times before and I wish more people would realize it.
BTW, good post 194GVan.

Have a look at the GT3 drift forum and find some settings for an S15 there. Naturally they will still need a little work to account for the new physics engine. But, I've been having some (limited) success just pulling my old settings out and throwing them at cars in this game. The general tuning 'philosophy' remains the same and settings still affect the car in the same manner, its just the games feel that has changed. Also head to M-specs suspension tuning guide in the GT3 settings forum, its a great resource.

Past that its all about practice and learning to manage the cars weight transfer - this seems infinitely more important in GT4 than it did in GT3.

hey guys offtopic question really quick.

For those of you who have bought aftermarket full model cars like the ER34, is it possible to put more turbo or hp gaining mods on it after you buy it? Or is the full model tuned out to the full potential?

that silvia has so much torque but i managed to get used to it...try drifting at the infineon raceway D1GP style...i think you need to get the wheel for this car cause you really need throttle control...it goes crazy w/ the DS2

just to add my 2 cents any car stock or modded, asm oversteer 0, asm understeer all the way up, and tcs 0 and any of the cars will drift super easy and nice or maybe its just me?

ok, maybe im a screwball but, i had to change my setting alot, i added a stage 3 turbo, nitro (to get up to speed) s1 in the rear and s3 in the front. front camber at 5 and rear at 3 i added a litlle spring rate to the rear. all the way in front downforce and the least in the rear. no assits, and the thing i thought helped the most was weight balast, i had 40 in the balast, and i but it all the way in the back

probably just have to have different settings for the DS2. I havent bought the car yet, i have too many old school underpowered cars purchased that i still want to drift, check out my bluebird sss in the photos topic :D

why don't you try and learn how to make your own drift settings...
i don't even understand what's the point of leeching from other people's drift settings. It takes time for people to come up w/ these settings, stop demanding and learn how to create your own damn setup.
