Need Quick Help...

Please!

how do i restart all togeather with my computer? I kinda want it, with no extra programs on it, etc... I tried going manually through, but it will take forever at this point... SO! i'am thinking of safely wiping out my harddrive... is there an easy way to do this maby like a start/killhd button?

You may not want to do that...You're gonna have to make sure you have the drivers necessary to get back online and retrieve all of the other ones.

Is this a prebuilt PC? (as in, from Dell, HP, etc.?)
 
If you had system restore on since the beggining, you can restore all the way back to then. That way there's no messy reinstalling needed, although all your documents will still be there.
 
First, check to see if it came with a restore disc.

If not, and Jon's advice didn't help, gather all of your discs that came with the laptop. You will need the Windows disc and there is probably a disc that has drivers on it. Boot from the Windows disc and work your way through the menus until you are prompted to choose which partition to install to. Erase the existing partition(s) and create a new one in its place. Install to that one. Once the XP install is finished, install the drivers. After you get everything working, go to Windows Update and get it back up to date.
 
Sorry, I didn't think about it being a "prebuilt" pc. Follow Ebiggs or Jon.'s instructions and you should be good. 👍
