Need serious help!

I'm trying to tune my ZZII for 1/4 dragging. I've never been the greatest tuner, and I've always struggled extremely with 4WDs. I've upped the toe angle 1.00/1.00 but I still get a lot of wheelspin on this car! And when I drag other ZZIIs they get NO wheelspin! But I do this on every 4WD. So what am I doing wrong? I've asked for help on this before but no one has ever seemed to want to reveal how to do this. A drag tune for anything seems like gold to people on GT5 and GTP. Not saying I'd not be like that, but I'd just like some pointers to help me get started on this. Thanks. Not asking for a tune, just tips!

The zz2 will always spin the wheels... its just u dont really see it on ur screen. I will tell u there is a thread on here giving u a base tune for the gtr spec-v... use that as a guideline for ur zz... it will help u a lot.

also, using 1.00/1.00 toe it hurts your car, i dont know who told you to use it but toe hurts your car for drag racing

many people tell me up the toe to reduce wheelspin. Maybe I took it to the extreme :dunce:

Some cars need it more than others. But defiantly helps you. But 1.00 is way to extreme lol. Try more in the .10 - .30 range 👍

Also I tried someones Spec V base tune on here and the launch was quite good but it was for 1/4 mile and I need it for tunnel so when I put the final gear lower and then tested it, it just completely killed the launch. Can someone help?? Thanks.

You need to keep RPMs high in the launch, so simply changing final gear won't cut it.

This. I've raced Vipers, no stripes etc and thought my opponent had no wheelspin and when I asked them about it or compliment their launch they tell me they have wheelspin also. For some reason you just can't see it on your screen.

The advice given so far is good relating to your toe problem.👍
 
That makes me feel a little better. So far I've tried some base tunes and tried some other things on it. I'm getting it to 154 at trap now. I think my biggest issues still lie among transmission, but can someone help me with spring rate as well?

60/60/5 (should help but this is basic, there are other ways of setting this up)

Suspension:

Reduce your spring rates, make the front softer than rear.
Increase front toe to .30 and rear to .70
Dampers: 2/8 8/2

Not sure about the tranny, will have to see that on paper in order to fix that
