Need some help regarding my PS3 playing GT4

Thought I'd post my question on this forum because it seems the most active but anyway...Is it possible for me to play my GT4 on a PS3 slim?

That is so stupid isn't it. Why would Sony even be bothered to go out of their changing software to make a console do LESS stuff.

Even with one with B/C GT4 gives problems on a PS3.

It's not purely software, the early phat consoles basically had all the components of a hardware ps2 and ps3 in one unit, hence the insane price. Later units were reduced to only the ps2 graphic chip for partial compatibility, and eventually all ps2 hardware (and thus compatibility) was phased out. That said, I have a phat model with the ps2 gpu only and GT4 plays nicely but has issues, it's still not as perfect as using a ps2 console.
