Need some ideas

Hey guys, this is not a question that pertains to GT or cars.

It's about an issue with my cousin. My aunt from Detroit came down to visit, and during dinner she told me and my brother that my cousin in Canada is not coming out of his depression. It's been five years now since he's been diagnosed.

I feel guilty for not doing more, but his family kept it as a family secret, so hearing that he's been down in the dumps for so long came as a shocker.

He was bullied in school when he was in saudi, but my siblings and I didn't know until just last week!

He's very, very intelligent, but unfortunately very insecure. I managed to get his email, but I'm kind of stumped on how to reach out to him.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Do you know if he likes sport? If he does, ask him if he supports a team, does he watch their games, etc.? Find something that is easy to talk about, that you both like, then when you are chatting regularly gently approach the subject of his depression, but take it slowly. :) Hope this helps...

He loves video games, but apparently he also completely cut that out as well.

I'll ask him if he has a PSN.

Thank you though for your idea.

Edit: I'm also very ticked that his family didn't tell me about it.
