I feel shameful. I have had this game for almost two years, and I dont know how to drift. The reason, is that I do grip driving rather than drifting. Some ocassional drifts that last two seconds. Which are the general settings to do it?, simulation tires? raise suspension, add camber, what else?

The only "tip" that I could give you is to run stiff suspension. that allows more car control. That, and run more front downforce than rear.

WHILE SOME MAY REComenf downforce.. i would advise you not too.... instead remove all downforce, simulation tires, stiffen the suspension, raise the limited intial torque to 60 and strong brakes in the front to get the car off balance.. this will make your car driftable with simulation tires but also drivable with normal tires... BUY THE SILVIA 2000cc,,, thats a natural drifter.. very easy to manipulate....oh yeah buy al the other stuff tomuffler and all that good stufff.experiment with power.. i usually use about 200-400 hp.

add more [like 3.0-3.5] camber to the front, lower ride height to mediocre [somewhere between stock and lo], simulation tires, lower shock bound and rebound, increase stabilizers, increase brake power in the rear, keep stock LSD, and keep everything else stock. keep the BHP around 300. if yu need more torque to keep the long drift, lower the gear ratio in the transmisson.

hope this helps. sorri for the long paragraph ^^

Stock LSD??????

I've always been using 2 way LSD sinse I read an article about drifting in which they wrote that almost any drift car had to have at least a 1 way LSD.... Anyway... Might not be true in GT...

well, it depends on what car it is. if it's and FR car like the supra, FC, FD, etc. then yu can leave it stock because it suffices with the oversteering and throttle control. if it's a 4WD like the skyline or the ZZII, then yu may need to change the LSD. @ that point, then yu can use a modded-LSD.

yu don't need LSD for all of the cars ^^

if you want grip while drifting, get ur Toa Angel to all 0 and the Camber to Zero, and the hight is the front is lower then the back, and the shock rate is always FRONT 14 and Rear 12 and widen the gear ratio and even out the gear ratio, also put the ASM to 2 and the one down 1, then put on Super Soft tire for faster and none spin out or sliding cars, it gives you grip while drifting, but one more thing, dont let your RPM hit the red line while drifting, or you will spin out or loose control ok, i hope u can figure it out!!!!!!!!

ohhh one more thing, you need to go fast then break and turn, the break setting is Front 19 and rear 9, that will downforce the car and wieght shift your car to turn, then you just need to put on second gear and rev it up and dont let it touch the red line, it takes me 2 weeks just to learn it perfect, so hope u can to ok, if not u can always ask again alright!!

uhh yea....that brake setting induces ALOT more understeer than oversteer but o well....

downforce = the amount of wind pushing the car down towards to ground....i think
lol i liek correcting people ^_^

what do you mean, tell me then, if u dont mind, like full info, cause i dont really know too, i know what i learn, but maybe ur an expert, so tell me ok TingBoy

I drift with an AWD car. I use a lancer evo5 (6 sometimes). And I only brake in the entrance of the corner and then acceletate to the top and avoid spinning (doing a 360). Whit some practice it's easy and spectacular.
