I need this page that is in Russian translated that at least makes sense.

Google translate makes no sense to me

I know some of them symbols, since I my parents are ethnic i have seen the same letters which are like the buttons you never press on a calculator, but they are not russian and auto jargon confuses my parents when i explain in simple english, even if they knew russian it would confuse them.
I have to attempt to fix the car.

[QUOTE = "Grayfox, post: 10960567, member: 147660"] the Internet on the subject was able to find the following information. Intake Manifold Runner Control - Variable length of the intake manifold. It works like this. The intake manifold is controlled by a rotary slide valve which allows to change the length of the intake tract. At low engine speeds the valve is opened to increase the intake tract, which ensures optimal usage of inertia of airflow for more efficient filling of cylinders and increase torque. At high engine speeds the valve overlap, reducing the effective length of the intake manifold to improve cylinder filling and increase engine power. Operate this valve two solenoids, which are located to the left of the engine. They have four tubes (two solenoid). Malfunction may occur due to these tubes, and because of the wiring, but basically there is a problem with one of the solenoids. Most so that is closer to the cabin. Check function can be by removing the electrical connector from the solenoid when the ignition. Defective solenoid every time you disconnect and connect the connector snaps. In my car, when a fault occurs, the engine is cold worked both solenoids, and clicked on the heated only one. Individually solenoids are not sold. The new item is shipped assembled - two solenoids on the court. Parts Code: 1357313. replacement took 15 minutes, then went avtomobilka, like new! [/ QUOTE]
My page automatically translated it so here it is if it helps. :P

Sounds like Mazda VRIS - or Porsche Varioram, which is the same thing.

Okay, time to check my English car jargon. Here goes:
_______________________________________________

In the Internet, I managed to find following info on this problem. Intake Manifold Runner Control - variable-length intake manifold. How it works: the intake manifold has a controllable rotary silde valve allowing to change the length of the intake tract. At low RPM, this valve is open to increase the intake tract [length], providing optimal use of the airflow inertia for more effective cylinder filling and torque increasement. At high RPM, the valve closes, reducing the effective length of the intake manifold to improve cylinder filling and increase engine power.

This valve is controlled by two solenoids located to the left of the engine. There are four pipes [or tubes?] connected to them (two for each solenoid). Malfunction may be caused by these pipes or the wiring, but most likely the problem occurs with one of the solenoids. In most cases - with the one closer to the interior. They can be checked by unplugging the electric connector while the ignition is on. A fine solenoid "clicks" on each connection and disconnection. In my car, when the failure occured, both solenoids worked on the cold engine, but on the heated, only one clicked.

The solenoids are not sold separately. The new part is available assembled - as two solenoids on a plate. The part code is: 1357313. The replacement took 15 minutes, then the car ran like new!

Mercedes-Benz had that system on the M104 inline sixes. At least in that instance, the difference in the runners is noticeable.
