Does anyone have these ? Am trying out netflix's free month trail because you can cancel by a few clicks anyway it's it really worth the 5.99 a month ? Hd films some with 5.1 surround sound ? Most films are old and a had to switch over to the USA netflix for better films so does anyone else who's had this service for a few months or years and still uses it ?

My family and I completely abuse their instant streaming service. We dropped the discs when their prices went up a few months ago, though. We were never consistent enough for it to be worth while and there is a video rental store that rents new release BD discs for $2. That's a much better deal for us.

I like the TV shows Netflix carry on their stream service. They lack new releases, but I personally don't have to have them. Combine that with my broad taste in films, new & old, it's the steal of the century for me!

Netflix in the UK is currently very very poor. All of the films are either abstract independent films or really old and have been on ITV2 hundreds of times before. Until they get their game together it's not worth £1 a month let alone any more. Love Film on the other hand have new releases and a huge library to choose from.

However if you can switch to the US Netflix it might be worth a try. How do you even do that? I wouldn't mind trying it myself!

I signed up for both literally two days ago to see which one gets my subscription long-term. Both are running one month free trials and apparently, Netflix is very easy to cancel. Which is good.

Out of the two, Netflix is seriously lacking in content for UK subscribers.

When the month is up, it's looking like Lovefilm will be the victor of the two. I watched RED and Tucker and Dale VS. The Evil last night on Lovefilm, and thoroughly enjoyed them both. Streaming quality wasn't too bad, sound quality was top notch and neither films had any buffering time during playing. There did appear to be a lot of frame drops though which is slightly distracting on bigger TV sets. That could just be bandwidth throttling during peak hours from my ISP though.

First impressions : Lovefilm FTW.

I've got the Netflix free trial at the moment and I'm a bit disappointed in the choices. I was expecting some newer things, it does have some good TV shows though, Breaking Bad, Dexter, 24 and others.

I'd probably go for Love Film, I had a look at their stuff and it does look more up to date.
