Network Error and related DR question

Hi,

I'm fairly new to the world of racing and gt in specific. My first question is why do I get network error during the race, matchmaking screen and etc. when playing daily race.

Second question, due to my disconnects, I got demoted from B/A to D/C. Would it be easy for me to get back to B / A as long as I race my usual pace? Usually I get matched up with combinations of B, C and few D in terms of DR, is it because of my qualifying time?

Network errors are frustrating but relatively common. More for some than others, however. I think I have had maybe 5 since October, but some people get them every day. I personally believe that it is a tiny drop in the connection between your PS4 and the GT servers, although other people dispute this. Are you using wifi or ethernet?

You should get back up reasonably quickly, just make sure you don't finish behind anyone in a lower DR than you. With regards to matchmaking, the system looks for matching SR first (so putting together those drivers who race clean) over your DR. As I said though: just make sure you don't finish behind anyone with a lower DR than you, and try and scalp a few of those who are higher as this will give you a nice quick DR gain.

Edit: qualifying only determines your position on the grid. In all likelihood you would be matched with the same opponents whether you got a slower or faster qualifying time. On the subject though: this is the easiest way to make sure you finish well... qualify well, start high and you have a much better chance of finishing high

I am using wifi atm, does wiring up ethernet helps a lot in terms of speed and stability.

The odd thing I noticed is that I still get match up with C and B even if my DR rating is D.

I would switch to wired if I were you... less chance of disruption to your connection.

I'm thinking the network disconnect is down to your ISP routing or stability with other players network connection in the room...

I've had a few GTS network disconnects which have immediately reconnected without me doing anything, and PSN login has remained constant.

There is a monitor you can run on a laptop to check your ISP https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality

I use powerline adapters for my PS4, they run the ethernet over your electric cables so you have practically a wired experience without having to run ethernet cables all over your house.

Ive started to get heaps of errors the past couple of days, disconnecting when I have never disconnected before I reckon somethings happened with the latest update
