New AI feature

I was reading the latest news at http://www.gran-turismo.com/jp/sp/d3507.html and came across an interesting feature.

AI Player

What this feature is? Well in ad-hoc mode you have the option of racing against friends or you and your buddies can have your own custom AI race again each other while you sit back, watch and bet on who will win (via Jackpot mode).

As you progress through the game you can level up your AI player to be more aggressive etc. It doesnt go indepth on the website on how much customization there is too it.

Its a nice little feature if for example your friends no longer want to play with you cause you beat them all the time. Now your friends can have their AI vs your AI and bet on the winner. hehe

I think it's referring to the B-spec mode that was in GT4.

Not sure about that. Its says the AI player is only limited to Ad-hoc mode and by using the AI while racing it will gain AI points which are used to make the AI progressively better (level up).

nice...maybe there will be team events where you can use your B-spec guy as a team mate or something...Kind of like a cat & mouse sort of thing.

I was wondering how Jackpot mode worked, it's like owning a race horse then betting on it

@ SuperShouden - that would be pretty cool a cat & mouse sort of mode.

@ Jay - Jackpot mode works like a betting circle (GT now making gamblers out of us.. lol) the 4 people participating in the event will put up some money. The total money goes to whoever wins the race. I guess its like playing poker. Or that Japanese horse racing game where you level up your AI and bet on it to win.
