New Audi S3 Spy Pics

Audi will launch the sports version of the A3 at the end of this year. It will be equipped with a 2.0 TFSI engine, which is said to deliver 272 HP

Looking very tame at the moment but so was the last S3 but this ones to similiar to the 3.2 version so lets wait and see if it will get some bigger arches different rims and some work on the back end. Yellow doesnt suit this car neither.

This will probably now be enough evidence that there will be no RS3 as audi said they will either make one or the other.

Heres some scoop from a VW Guy: Volkswagen is going to import the GTI 5-door to the US later this year. So if you want an A3 with a "sportier" sport package (presumably for less money), go with the GTI 5-ddor.

...As for the S3, whats the point. I mean I understand most things about VWs and Audis, but with the R32 churning out 250HP with a V6 that churns out more torque, I dont see what the S3 is even needed...

There has been a audi r32 version for donkey years now its called the audi a3 3.2 sport. This S3 will obvioulsy have to be quite a bit faster. The old one was a 1.6 T with 240hp I think. Or was it a 1.8T...

The thing thats buggin me with this car is that theres not a big performance leap up from the 3.2 v6. I personally heard and thought it would use a 3.2 with around 300hp. 272 is kinda pittiful for a S model.

Well, atelast with 272 it would put it in a league with the STI and Evo X in the US... And any VW product is better than those two...
