Where's the concept - it's a tarted up Monaro with a big motor!!

Not that I'm for one moment suggesting that this a bad thing...

you mean a commodore . frankly, id like to see holden produce something other than a commodore. im after a change because we've had over 20 years of commodores.

thats something that i wouldnt mind (AWD) as an option with something like a HSV GTS or a monaro. youve got the grunt but youve still onlygot that limited amount of traction. with the TCS wound up on my senator, i can still spin the wheels. its not really effective which is a bit of a pisser.

I didn't realise that model Senator had TC. Interesting.

Well, I think I posted somewhere that HSV were planning to do a 6.7 litre sedan with AWD sometime in 2004. I'd love to see that thing in police trim chasing crims in stolen WRX's around Sydney!

the traction control was put in by the tuning company. ive driven it without TCS and its a nightmare if you put your foot just over the mark. full TCS does stop accidental wheelspin but not intentional ;)

yes the cross 8 is still being tested in each state. id love to get my hands on one for a day around a dirt and mud version of bathurst. would proove for some nice drifts.

Nah - this was different to the cross8 - HSV were specifically doing a 400hp+ full on AWD M5 killer sedan.

ive gotta admit, after having a little run in with an M5 on the highway, they have a fair bit of poke - i totally under estimated the amount of grunt they have.

Great motor, the old in-line six. I drove one many years ago in Melbourne, about an '89-'90 model. Fantastic top end.

havent actually had the pleasure of driving one but in my opinion they are the best looking top range sedan ever produced. they have a tough stance like the commodores do.

on the topic of commdores holden have done a good job with the VY - i love the SS. HSV on the otherhand...some bad design decisions were made.
