My upgrade for a new phone is a month a way and was wondering what phone should I get. Currently I have an iPhone 5c which is not bad. Like to stay with an IPhone. But thinking of switching to Android. I'm on a budget so I don't want to spend all my paycheck on a new phone. What can you recommend to me for a new phone.

What carrier are you on? And are you planning on just buying the phone or are you going to lump it into a contract extension?

If you're going out of pocket, the Nexus 5 is probably the most cost effective Android phone and doesn't come with all the bloatwear that companies like Samsumg love to put on their phones. Also it's one of the few Android phones that currently support Android 5.0.

I'd look into the moto x 2014, I just got mine and I love it, all the moto voice and assists are way ahead of everything else. Other than that though its pure android and you get updates pretty fast.

I'd say the LG G3 as the UI is close to stock Android (like on a Nexus device), easy to remove bloatware, customizable (custom softkeys and icons can be changed on the home screen/s), good camera, great battery life, 2K screen and SD card slot.

I'd also recommend you have a look at the Moto X and HTC One [M8].

Just got my Moto X 2014 a couple weeks ago, white with bamboo, free with a 2 year contract. The Moto Display notifications are great and love just waving my hand over it to snooze the alarm. Motorola just released a new update for their stock camera app about 4 days ago...it focuses much quicker and accurately now. People also say noise is a bit lower too.

LG G2 is an amazing phone and a bargain at the same time because it stopped to be produced.

But If I had to choose one I'd chose the Sony Z3 Compact because its got great specs and performance whilst maintaining a "compact" size.

Go with the Nexus line if you want stock Android. Samsung's line of phones aren't bad either, if you can tolerate TouchWiz. HTC, LG, and Sony's phones are relatively stock.

I got mine the day that update came out. honestly I don't understand why it has such bad reviews, its not quite as good as my gfs g3 camera but its still very nice.
On topic I looked at pretty much every phone mentioned it this thread for weeks and still ended up with my moto, and I paid for mine off contract, not the free contract deal.

+1 vote for the Z3 compact.
