At the 8:25 mark in this vid Dan pretty much spilled the beans on the new Fanatec Wheel. Supposedly the CSR Elite will run 7 bills. I don't know if the wheel shown in this thread is that CSR Elite but if it is it's one cash money wheel.

Here's the vid where Dan spilled the beans on the price. Go to the 8:25 mark

700?! That better include EVERYTHING, from the CSP pedals to the supposed new CS shifter, and toss in a wheel stand. That's really pricey in my book.

Is it really that expensive to make a 360 wheel? I'm talking about the MadKatz one as well, both are sounding like they will be on the expensive side.

Seems they have wheels that are $100, $200, $300, $400-$600. So it sounds like they have quite a few price points.

I guess the Trackstar 6000 GTS system from ECCI is out the question for you guys then. Not even 360 compatible and runs at a mere $1,488 dollar.

I know that PC sims have options with very expensive wheel/pedal/etc systems but for me consoles are supposed to be cheaper throughout. The good thing is that these expensive wheels can work on PS3 for the most part. I'm not in the market to spend that much. $500ish I would but that's about my top limit.

3-4 months waiting for the wheel has been my main hold up. It's been that way since the GT2 wheel was unveiled and right now I kick myself in the ass for not pulling the trigger MONTHS ago as I'd have it all by now lol

Plus the rumors that Fanatec was set to unveil something at E3 2011 and I'm just waiting to hear the price (and features) of their new wheel. I'm tempted at getting this new FM4 Elite wheel or the GT2. I'd be getting the CS pedals too. If the MadCatz wheel is reviewed well I might bite but I'd like a clutch and it doesn't have one.

a lot of Fanatec customers are asking that too.
touche. Guys should have jumped on them when they were flowing. It didn't take but a week for me to get my package.

Yeah, but you live and you learn. Soon you'll get the feeling of :) when you see your packages at the door and open them.

Oh what a feeling. It's just pure bliss man, I mean you just can't understand.... uh oh, sorry guy. Didn't mean to rub it in

I've actually been on ebay and craigslist even to look for used but the most I came across was the PWTS or GT2 wheel only and no pedals. Would still be stuck waiting unless my MOMO Force pedals worked with it (as a stop gap).

I no longer have an MS wheel and the only wheel I have at my place, Logitech MOMO Force (from PC sim days) I lost the power supply and I think something internally is burned out (connected it to a sufficient borrowed pwr supply and it seems to be recognized by the PS3 but only the paddle shifters work as X and O). I need a new wheel so I'm def in the market for one. Just need to decide GT2, new Fanatec wheel or go cheaper and get this MadCatz which... I'm not too keen on MadCatz peripherals due to quality and bad experience with their controllers

I'm not sure if the CSR Elite works on the 360. Can anyone confirm or am I just having an early morning brain fart?

Yes.

CSR Elite = 360, PS3, and PC.

CSW = PS3 and PC.

It is not "CSR" for that wheel, it is just "CS" > as for "Club Sport".

CSR is the separate family for full-multiplatform wheel, pedals and another accessories.

Excuse me. And after looking it is actually the "CSW."

I guess you missed the Forza logo in the middle of the wheel. Brain fart confirmed

Unfortunately the customer service will keep me from buying any Fanatec :( Which is a shame, because that's a great looking wheel, and CSP are unrivaled.

My experience with their customer service was just great. I had a couple of GT2 that arrived with problems (not powering up) and they took care of me in 5 days both times. They paid for shipping and I got 2 wheels that have been used every day for 7 months now with no problems AT ALL.

And these things are a cut above most everything else (except T500RS but I heard they have their share of problems too...)

Glad to hear that you've had good luck with them. I've personally tried contacting them about shipping out of the continental 48, and had trouble. Coupled with numerous complaints I've heard from others...it didn't sound too hot.

Be a believer my friend. Do not refuse the quality of Fanatec because of fear:P

Frankly, I can understand your fears but man these wheels are great.
