New Gang Inititive - Murder in the Dark : South Africa

I just found this on Facebook, so I don't know if it is true or not, but drivers in South Africa are being advised to not to remind fellow drivers that don't have headlights on to turn them on lest they be a target of assassination by the Bloods gang.

This new initiation push by the gang would have new members fulfill their initiation pledge by driving South Africa's roads in the dark, usually on Friday and Saturday nights, and each time a driver would flash their lights at an initiate, they would immediately turn around and chase and kill them (and every person in the car) to fulfill their pledge. It even got an letter from Nick Potgieter from Chubb Electronic Security (Which I have attached here).

So what say you?

Actually this has been going in one form it another since at least the early 80's. My grandmother would always talk about it when she lived in a shady part of the city.

Should have recognized the DARE part of the letter. DARE was an anti-drug program in school when I was little. I just glanced over it without doing the homework. DARE stopped in 1997 in Texas, so maybe that is why I don't remember it.
