New GT-R Seasonal Time Trial

SRF!!? Magic traction! You can throw the car wherever you want and it sticks. I wont spend time trying to get a low number on this.

No aids or bust!


Cool event though. I like the prize.

Just did some runs.. Ended up with a best time of 1:34.200
I still dislike the fact that the random generated tracks ALWAYS have blind corners.. hill, hill, hill, sharpassomgwtfbbq-corner.. and I always fall for it :ouch:
 
Pretty easy once you learned the track, those blind turns though ugh those screwed me up for like 5 laps haha.
 
When I got gold this morning I was ranked around 300th, several hours later and I've slipped all the way to around 3000th! Needless to say Dan Holland is still #1. It must be fun being that good.
 
Can't believe how rapid the leaderboard is changing.
I went from 6th to 123rd as of 2 hours ago. haha

While my wife was watching TV in another room I snuck a few laps in. I though that the weird driving sensation was because I didn't have the sound on, but now I know it was the SRF. The only time I made a mistake was on the off-camber corner near the middle and the last corner. Once I knew where they were I could get a quick lap in fairly easy.
 
104th after first session, 1'34"5, 2"3 behind DHolland and happy :)

Beautiful track, not too long and incredible fast one 👍

Yes, this is a great track - I've got the cash, but I'm going to try to drop my time a bit more before I'm done. One annoyance is that when you restart, you're not going fast enough by the time you cross the start/finish.
 
Had a 1:34.9xx lap invalidated in the 2nd from last corner, I think my heart skipped a few beats...you know that sinking feeling, I don't think I'll be spending more time on this.
I'm gutted, 34.x with pad is like...really fast. lol
Next time I do this - I'm pulling out my wheel.
 
Dammit, I red lapped a 1:32.8xx by coming out too wide onto the home straight!

I'm up to 1:33.198 just 0.999 behind Dan Hollands blistering lap!
 
Wow this is a boring TT I was hoping it would be more fun than this :s. The Track is absolutely epic love the track but SRF is just making it boring... Its like turn *Knows the car will hold* turn more.
 
Ive never really played with the SFR on feels wierd, does it actually slow the car a bit everytime I slide?

Well I finally made the leader board at 245 with 138.142 though bitter sweet because I know the SFR made it easy.

I managed 1:38.xxx and last I checked I was at 195th on the leaderboard, so I'm beyond happy, but I think I can go faster still. I hate that SRF is forced on though..

My 1:37.2xx was 890th last time I looked...

As for the SRF, it's just a characteristic, same as 4 wheel drive, lsd or slick tyres - learn how to drive it and the times will fall (at least that's what I'm thinking)
 
Well im pretty tired im on for a mid to low 1:32 when I can stop messing up that first corner lol, its the only one that gets me...

But still wish they had made this without SRF! Would have been much more fun :)!

Watching your times drop, hope to get on when the wife moves aside. On the 1st corner I brake half way down the rumble strip and that seems to give stability thru the apex without hitting the grass, but you're quite a bit quicker than me. I need to switch off the traction control, never realised the SRF was on, thought it felt grippy!!

More people must have played it since I ran it obviously, I ran it about 3 hours ago.
 
Does anyone have a video of there lap, im talking about a low 1:33 high 32 lap. I want to see what i am doing wrong.
 
Damn, I was looking forward to getting on the PS3 and doing this but SRF ruins it. Gives a car like the GTR even less feeling as the near to none it had before. :rolleyes:

Really? Do you want want the damn free car or not? If you do, don't complain about the awesomeness of driving aids.
 
I got up to 75th place, somewhere around 1:35 or 1:36, as of about an hour ago.

SRF is weird. I had avoided it on general principle, before. Now I have a specific reason: It sucks.

Well, I thought for my skill level, I did alright with a 1:39.237. I think I could shave another second off, if I spend a long time on it, but Dark Souls is beckoning lol.:)
